So yeah purple was being trained, he wanted to impress father, the other stick figures were in his way, he thinks he's evil. Poor dude actually he's been through hell
For those who dont understand the back story basically everything purple had done was to get closer to his father then the Orange king promised to help him get revenge on his father but in the end Orange betrayed him.
I think that purple wanted to see his father again and to prove himself once more, then the orange king promised to help find him because purple doesn’t really seem like the evil revengeful type
I think the most widely accepted interpretation of Purple's backstory scene is that Dark Blue is his father and the Pink stick figure is his mother (They also make the colour purple when combined, go figure). Purple's mother dies and he has lost his father/ his respect. So he believes that to get his father/ his respect back he needs to get the Ender Dragon egg which leads to all the stuff in that AvM short with the villagers and end and stuff, where he takes advantage of the villagers and stickmen for the Dragon Egg. Unfortunately he never actually got the egg so that was a fail. Then King Orange somehow was able to give Purple help in getting his father/ father's respect back, so Purple goes to great lengths to impress/ follow King Orange so he can follow through with HIS end of the deal, but instead King Orange gets what he needs and leaves him to the stickmen. So yeah, just not a great life for Purple... "I hope he stays good this time" Purple: I'm gonna be good this time :) King Orange: Hey, I've got your father on the Phone Purple: *WAIT REALLY??!?!?! :O SORRY GUYS, TIME TO DIE NOW!* Also, you still haven't reacted to the Animator vs Animation series by Alan Becker, so I guess you can cover that while waiting for more AvM Shorts.

No. Purple saw King Orange as a father figure. Like his actual uncle. If he treated him nicely, he would’ve felt being close to his dad.
