- Leg 9 of our Aruba walk. We start at the cruise port in Oranjestad and walk east via the downtown area to the West Deck restaurant which is just passed the Wilhelmina park.

A lot of great places of interest were spoken amongst the visitors. One of the faves mentioned was the Happy Trail. I really enjoyed that hike on my recent trip. Highly recommended for everybody to try. I found one of Marleen’s rocks she placed along the trail and it’s found a home back in New Jersey. One of my other favorites is the hike from the Natural Bridge to Blackstone Beach. Of course none of these would be possible without your videos. Always enjoy the content! Whenever Rodger’s Beach get’s a mention it brings me joy, it truly is a wonderful place!! Wish both of you the best of luck this year and moving forward, Stay Safe!

My wife and I first visited Aruba for her company’s sales reward trip about 15 years ago. Spent 4 days there and when we were going to go on cruise we picked one that had stop at the island. Then we just started to come back over and over again for cruising around the Caribbean and finally started to take vacation there us now. We enjoy every visit and always have a great time visiting. Food is incredible and like you said so much variety to choose from when choosing to eat. People are some of the most friendly and helpful you can find in the Caribbean.

Thank you Hyro, Marleen and guest walkers for keeping my Aruban memories alive ❤ I've realised that if I didn't join your walk back in November, I wouldn't probably have gone to Eagle beach. Along with Baby beach, Eagle beach became my fav beach on Aruba. I'll be waiting for the next video as today's and next stretch were my local walks when I stayed around Oranjestad 🏖

Very nice walk, Hyro. We just booked our tickets to return to Aruba in November for a two week stay at the Playa Linda. And we decided to stay two extra nights at the Renaissance again. I learned there are a couple restaurants we need to try downtown from this video today. Thanks!

Thanks for the video Hyro. Heading to Aruba for a our annual two week stay in Palm Beach the end of next week. Stopping there again on a cruise in April. We love Aruba and the great weather and beaches. We’re older and not into hiking but we still enjoy those videos. All the best to you and Marleen.

Hyro, my family and I have watched you for years and have been to Aruba over 25 times. We know and have been to almost all of the places you’ve shown. How about a video of areas that are not places tourist see? Would be a very interesting video to watch.

My daughter and i are coming to aruba in August this year, we came 3 times 1998, 1999 and 2001 with my husband. He wanted to return to Aruba before he died but didnt make it so we are coming in his memory. We are staying at Bucuti Beach as we did 23 years ago... probably lots of changes to Aruba... cant wait... and who knows we might meet you on your walks ❤...

19:37 Maybe a question for your next walk when you get a group. Ask them how easy they found it to communicate with locals, people that work at hotels or shops or business is one thing, but have any of them had to have a conversation with a random local and maybe have to ask them for directions. How well were they able to have a conversation with them? We in Aruba like to pride ourselves in being able to speak 4 languages, but there is learning to speak a language and then there is actually being able to have a full conversation with someone in a different langauge.
