I’ve done this my self to go offshore!!! but the worst part about the being in there is worried about your harness getting stuck and also being upside down trying to find your way out but at the end you get certified for it and don’t have to take it for 4-5 years
No haha this one is the most fun; Coldnwater emersion I the hardest, yourbheart bests like a man and your breathing becomes spastic, but it is to help you learn how to survive the colder seas 🌊 especially up north
Ok, first of all. All of you guys talk like it's so much fun. The people I know that went through it told me they was nervous and would not want to do it again. So all you guys that work there. Get a comment from someone who has did it.
Me also at first i was afraid but still i completed my training just got my ID and certificates this morning..after 4 if still able i will take another training for renewal..ang im not young though
Yep. Even a computer can have a not so lucky day on the bird. I try to tell people when they roll is keep your eyes closed and know where your hands are supposed to be
No cap I was nervous at first but after the third time I was like let's do it again what I didn't like was being under the water tryna breath through the scuba thingy
portions of this video were used by a company in Australia for there promo of their dunking facility. the opening scene was the same as yours. so you vid is getting around it seems.
not sure why it was removed as it was getting a lot of views. Still a very good comprehensive view of what happens. no more RED RED Balloons It signature tune for the original..
AAAAAAAAA..................THEY WERE THE DAYS GREAT FUN , did anyone do the cross seat escape ...................i failed never did get out the other window !!
@@Crippinbarbie yes if u can not do it but they will help you to pass but you have to pass it is down to you ...it shows you have the right character to go offshore ...no place for people who think they but can not
@@mzztender I have taken the class a few times. There are people there that just want to work and are going through the motions. Needless to say those jobs will pay a little more and that’s why they are doing it. One of the classes I took they start you off in the pool by jumping in from about 6 feet up. There were a few people that had to work the courage up for that. Fast forward…when the helicopter simulator came up, it was straight fear. Everyone in the class talked them through it. Worked as a team. And when the simulator training was over, they were so proud of themselves. Overcoming fear, and realizing what you are capable of is a great feeling. Life is full of moments when you question yourself. That one voice, the voice that pushes you to continue is a very powerful thing.
I had to go thru this for an offshore job. Not fun at all! Damn near drowned when they rolled that motherfucker up side down ! Disorientated, not to mention water gushing into your nose. Also terrified that the belt bucket wont snap loose! Accidentally kicked the scuba diver in the face trying to get the fuck out!
Huge respect to these fine people!
Ayyyyy I'm doing this tomorrow. I'm stoked!
Me too man it seems so fun

Usually you have a job lined up before you do this training. You arent doing this on your own dime.
Is this the hardest part of the training?
No haha this one is the most fun; Coldnwater emersion I the hardest, yourbheart bests like a man and your breathing becomes spastic, but it is to help you learn how to survive the colder seas 🌊 especially up north
The hardest is when you start
I saw a dude get stuck in the simulator and drowned
Got this very soon don't know why but I'm sh**ing it if the belt gets jammed and I drown

Is that what you have to do to get onto the rigs ?

It is. Its why those companies pay a little more.
It's part of it but you would need a ticket or skill essentially
