If no sales data for a certain card was available, the values were best guess values based off of estimates on Price Charting and Pokedata. I feel like lots of people don’t understand odds. Just because 1 in 25 is gold doesn’t mean if you buy 25 one of them will be gold. It just means 4 of 100 packs will have gold tier.
Well, that aside, we still got gold, so it all worked out. lol. Made it a great opening for sure!

Just curious, you seem like a nice dude, where are you getting your PSA 10 pricing? Like just for example that Beedrill V for $50 is an incredible reach IMO there's 1 sold on ebay for that, but seems like an outlier. May be worth a little more research if you're gonna edit in pricing? Just constructive criticism man ✌️
Thank you for your constructive criticism. I welcome it. I've started putting a disclaimer about pricing in the description of my videos because I've gotten comments here and there about it. Basically, I begin with Ebay last sold listings and if there's nothing there, I check PSA's website for auction prices. If nothing there, than I use best estimates from Price Charting and/or Pokedata. I understand what you're saying totally and I'm trying to be as accurate as I can be. Soon, I might conduct a poll in the Community tab and ask you all whether you even want information on values or if you'd rather it be left out. I definitely don't want to mistakenly mislead anyone on card values. Thanks for your comment, Josh. It helps inform my content, for sure.

You really should show raw card prices from price charting or tcgplayer. The psa 10 is so much higher. Box of disaster 10 is $20+ but its a $2 card. Parasect trainer psa 10 is $24, but is a .50 cent card.
I will keep that in mind. Wasn't sure whether to just show the price of the raw card or show the potential it has if it were to get a PSA 10. What I'll probably do from here on out is show raw card prices for openings and obviously graded prices for slabs only. Thanks for the feedback!

Interesting how the red, silver and gold booster packs had no rare/holo pull. makes me wonder if they had been pre-weighed...i mean the house always wins.
Yeah, I hear you. I'm starting to think the same thing. I've never pulled a hit out of any of the red, silver, or gold packs. I pulled a holo one time out of a silver pack, but that's it.
I almost never watch the low view count pokemon videos or just dont watch them for a long time, but something grabbed me from the start of your video, i really enjoy your voice and mainly editing style, cutting to the chase, telling us the prices, Im very glad I stayed

Sorry about that. lol. I didn't realize I was being so rough with them until I received a couple of recent comments about it, including yours. I will definitely try to watch for that in future videos. Crown Zenith never fails. Love opening Zenith! Yes, that Rayquaza pull was definitely the crowning moment of the opening. I wasn't expecting that at all.

So glad you got the gold pack but as the son of a statistician, i had to cringe a bit when i heard the "odds" and the "guaranteed" gold etc. I had the meaning of odds repeatedly beaten into my brain as long as i can remember lol. Great luck though and great video. Congrats.

Nice video, but I can never fathom why people put PSA 10 prices as value for the cards, you don't have a 10, you have raw, list raw prices. Makes it seem so much more genuine.

Wild that these are $49.99 per pack for the *chance* at better. Most of those packs are $3-$5 packs.

Yeah, I know. I misunderstood the odds. I own that, but thankfully, we still pulled the odds and then some. That saved my butt and I know now not to make any guarantees anymore. lol.

What do you do if the cards that you pull two times do you give them away or do you sell them?
Most of the hits, if not all of them, usually go to the grader. I have an aversion to doing raw cards giveaways as I just don't like the thought of sending cards like that. That's just a personal thing though. The slab protects them and increases the value for the winner. It makes me feel at ease that people are winning the best items that I can possibly offer. Any slab that's not included in the giveaways always go up for sale/auction on my Ebay store. I don't automatically give away duplicates as I like to add a little mystery to the giveaways. That could change in future giveaways though. It's good to switch things up sometimes. ;)
And do you play the game?
@@Freeedyvr I do not. I used to just play for fun with my cousin when I was a kid, but I never played in tournaments or anything like that. I was much more into the collecting and trading side of things.

I do like PokeRev's videos. One critique I have about his videos though is that he gets way too chatty and it takes him a while sometimes to focus and get to the cards. Just my personal opinion though. Still like his content nonetheless.

Why do you put PSA 10’s price?
It was just as a reference to show the potential the card may have. I've changed my strategy as far as showing values, however, as to avoid this confusion in future videos and will only be showing raw values during openings.

We go all out on this channel! Super fun opening and will probably revisit these again in the future because every opening is different. That's one of the things I love about mystery product.

One pack had 5 modern booster packs and then a sixth mystery pack in either a green tier (another SWSH or SV set), red tier (SM or XY), silver tier (BW), or gold tier (HGSS and older).

Yeah, I misunderstood the odds. I'll admit that. The fact that we achieved and beat the odds does seem strange, but I don't know what to think. I'm rethinking opening them again though for the sole reason that the silver and gold tiers never have a hit inside. Those are the main reason I initially tried them out.

Why are the psa prices so high!?
PSA commands the highest Gem Mint 10 values of any grading company simply because of their years in the game and the respect and trust that they've garnered.
Honestly from what it looks like is pokerev weighs the vintage packs. Everyone ive seen open these packs gets good pulls in the newer sets and non holos in the vintage packs
I've been told of the allegations that he weighs his vintage packs. I think I might have to agree with you at this point. I have never pulled a hit out of a gold tier pack and that's telling. It's unfortunate really.

Hmm, I haven't heard that PokeRev was famous for that, in all honesty. I mean, in my two PokeRev openings, I still pulled some crazy stuff from his packs. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying I wasn't aware of it and my experiences seem to contradict that. I could see his gold tier packs being weighed, however, as both the packs I got had non-holos in them.
I think your pricing is off. I would use price charting for your prices.
Price Charting is one of the sites I use out of 4 different sites. That's the last one I go to though because the last time I relied on that site, I got comments that my pricing was way off. lol.

It feels a little awkward to see a beedrill v card being priced in a psa 10 price.
My opinion would just be leave those out. Seems like your a newer channel. Most older channels used to do that stuff back in the day and realized it’s not the best for transparency. Do with that what you will. Either way great video hope to see your progress with your channel.

@@Neo_AB I enjoy the PokeRev packs only because of the great variety of packs you can get, however, the old/vintage packs in the tiered packs are weighed unfortunately. I have never pulled a major hit out of a red, silver, or gold tier pack. Knowing that, I still love getting those tiers for their nostalgia factor even though there will never be any pulls in them. I've always loved mystery products just for the surprise factor and the variety, so I usually gravitate more towards those products over other sealed products. I still love opening mainline sets as well, however. Paldean Fates is a pretty great set, but I'd say I enjoyed the PokeRev packs more personally just because I get to open tons of different sets in the same opening.
