strange, so many ppl failing to realise that "gaming" is a hobby. Distracting you from more important things such as work and relationships? well, balance! Fun is important too. Jogging, Golfing, watching sports, crocheting, watching movies,collecting stamps, making bird houses, and for some even picking your nose, are also hobbies. Vera Renner I'm a gamer and I don't feel bad about it. I balance this with real life and play during my down time. I've always said wars would end everywhere if they played WOW. They wouldn't have time to fight wars they would be too busy raiding! Same thing with gangs and addicts. Give them something else to do. Gaming can be addictive but it's a hell of a lot better than, war, drugs, gangs or booze.

***** What'd you recommend? Can't say I keep up to speed with MMOs much anymore - but I resubscribed to WoW after quitting just before WotLK came out. Thought I might get some nostalgic kicks.
Beyond GW2, I'm not sure that anything else has since come close?
I've been playing forever started on muds then ultima online and so on. I'm the typical raid leading, beta 0 , guild leader type but I won't go near WOW. It's not a matter of game play or graphics WOW did just fine with that you wouldn't be disappointed it's just the sheer number of trolls, griefers, and trash talking little kids on it. It's like ultima+EQ×10. If you haven't played an MMORPG in awhile, you don't mind the griefers, and you plan on spending lots of time grinding then WOW should work for you and they just released a new expansion if griefers ruin a game for you and you don't want to spend hundreds of hours grinding xp or if you have weird play times like 3am DDO might be a good game to play as they have done tons of work on it the past 2 years. Most MMORPG's have a free play option now so be sure to check them out that way first so at the very least you have something to play short term till you find the one that just clicks
