For a team missing two starters, Bruins played great. Yes, they couldn't buy one down the stretch and it cost them and fifty-nine points will not win you too many. There is reason for hope, though. Conference tournaments are peculiar. Unlike the regular season, unlike the Big Dance, games are played on consecutive days. Very easy to be fatigued, lose lift on your jumpshot and miss shots you would normally make, especially at the end of the game. Everyone is down tonight. Don't be. Conference tournaments are stupid, meaningless exhibition games.
in other words, UCLA "lost", UofA didn't "win"? I hope both teams meet at the Final Four! As Cornin said, "the real tournament". I just admire (not in a good way) UCLA's hubris!
I wouldn’t get too down. Bona is supposed to be back next week. Even if we won I wouldn’t have gotten to high about it. The tournament that matters starts this week
@Winning. No, actually Amari Bailey was still out with a foot injury for the game at Tucson, proving you Arizonans are just as bad at basketball analysis as you are at running elections.
@@LABoyko any other excuses you want to make for losing four of the last five against Arizona? If you can’t fit them in a single post, just make multiple posts, as I am sure the list will be extensive
That winning 3 was a jordan push off.Mcclendon was clearly right in the Zona guard;he clearly pushed Mcclendon to make space for the shot. How could the refs miss that offensive foul!!!!!!!!!!!.
If you actually pay attention to Mick Cronin after a almost UCLA losses he’s only critical of himself and his players. He hardly every blames the refs and almost always gives credit to the other team. So if Mick is complaining about the refs then 1. It means something and 2. It’s rare that he does.

There's no arguing that Arizona is the BEST TEAM in the Pac-12. They beat UCLA 2/3 times this year, beat Creighton, Indiana, Tenessee. Not to mention Ąžuolas Tubelis, who has more PPG, rebounds and FG% than Jamie Jaquez ("POTY"). Not to mention Tommy Lloyd, who has the record for most wins in a coach's first 2 season (but somehow Cronin is "COTY"). UCLA is always overrated because they're an LA school.
The Pac 12 coach of the year, can't get the ball to his shooters, Amari, Tyger,? In the last 3 min.s! Where the Hell was Singleton all night? So they let McClendon! Attempt 3's!! In the last min.s! Can someone tell me, Why! was the ball given to McClendon to shoot in the most important part of the game? Bailey was on fire, But he didn't even attempt a shot in last min.s. Disgusting!!
It wasn’t the real tourney I think he wanted to give McClendon and Andrews some experience in big game moments So that we have some depth for the real tourney next week with Clark missing
Typical UCLA, never pull out the big ones. Jacquez went ice cold in clutch time. Bailey never put up any shots and just passed. Campbell can’t get his own shot. We all know if those 3 can’t score, UCLA has no one else on their roster who can score a bucket
@The Greg. The game tonight was not a "big one." The game tonight was a meaningless exhibition. Campbell has never been better at creating his own shot and his career-high game Friday proves it. Losing to AZ always grates, but you will forget all about tonight when UCLA cuts down the net in Houston. Better days ahead, Greg!
That assessment may be true in your eyes. However conference tournaments are glorified exhibition games or simply put as my neighbor said money grabs. If winning the conferences tourney is the highlight of Arizona basketball that's while commendable loses sight of what any team should be striving for : winning a championship. Yeah you can berate UCLA all you want their lack of scoring in crunch time but lets see who advances further in the NCAA's

I'm afraid that is just gonna make UCLA more determined to win, let's go Bruins.
Eitherway it was a fantastic game! It was a tuff lose, but they did'nt make it easy for the Cats!
AZ got lucky we didn’t have a full squad.
We beat you when you had your full squad
