$210 is a deal. I ordered this and the Batmobile and Mcfarlane threw in a free action figure with a thank you note. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box.
Thank you for your amazing video and review. Constantly watching these Batmobile/wing unboxings on TH-cam...just so happy for Keaton return and these lovely figures and vehicles. Thank God for Andy Muschetti (director). Nice to see modern version of 1989 Batwing but still much the same too.
Purchase the “Hazmat Batman” figure. Remove the oxygen tank off his back. Repaint him grey and black as you see fit. The 2 tubes leading to his mask and the face shield looks like Batman is wearing a High Altitude aviator’s Flight-Bat-Suit. End result looks way better than simply sticking the 89’ Batman in it. Also- Amazon sells wall stickers of the moon. (Glow in the dark available as well) Stick that behind it on the wall. 14 dollars.
Love the display, amazing piece for your background! Glad it worked out how you originally planned to display it. I kinda want to get a huge moon poster for the background for my batwing 😅
I love the sizes of the big Batwing and the 22" batmobile. I don't care if batmobile looks cheap, I need that baby. Obsessed to this day with Batman 89 and the Batwing and batmobile... beautiful design car and jet from Flash and Batman. Batman Forever also nice Batwing, but still love the first film's vehicles. The Batmobile felt like it had a life of its own...sequel vehicles looked so childish lol. Tumbler never felt like a Batman vehicle, but still good.
Since I don’t have a ton of 6-inch figures, I’ve started thinking about who I’m gonna have riding in the ramen racer. Started with Black Series Greedo.
I got all 3. The McFarlane, the SpinMasters 12" and 27" version. The McFarlane looks better than the Spin Master. The problem is it's NOT $210.00 better than the Spin Master! Not even close. I don't know what plastic you're feeling, but the takeaway I got was: "brittle" This think doesn't have the dense plastic of the Batflack bike. It feels like those cheap plastic holiday yard ornaments that crack when you try and change the bulb in them. Brittle and cheap. Also the shade might be movie accurate, but I just like the matte black of the Spin Masters. Also, it should have been designed to be disassembled. I haven't fully snapped my wings in because when not on display, I'd like to be able to put it back in the box. I already made that mistake with the fins which means I had to remove some of the original packaging material just to put it back on the box. All you needed was 4 screws (2 on each side) underneath hidden in the design. Then you could display it or pack it but now once you snap those wings you can't re-pack it without running into potential breakage (again this thing has very brittle plastic.) While you could kick the SpinMasters version and nothing would happen to it. As far as sculpt, quality of materials, and playability, the 12" Spin Master's one that comes with the Flash and Batman 4" figure is the best one. If one KO company scaled up the 12" Spin Masters to McFarlane size and offered it for $80.00, McFarlane would have to run a fire sale on this brittle batwing.
they never have used the same plastics so thats a given especially when Mcfarlane purposely uses the 2nd closest soft plastic for making figures like Masterverse to save on $ .
im actually happy I didn't buy this. I saw the spinster ones at target and they actually looked pretty good in my opinion. unless mcfarlane makes some changes I think the bat mobile is going to be my last mcfarlane purchase for the time being.
I agree that it is going to cost much more down the line. The wall mount is a great idea but I do wish there were lights and sound for the price. I haven't seen a way to open it up like you can with the spin master or the Batmobile to add lights but it is a very cool piece. Like the video.
it for sure looks better and is bigger than the spin master and I want to pull the trigger and buy it but even with the promo code I can't stop doing the math on the spin master, even with the most minimal amount of customizing(masking and flat black priming the canopy) it looks a million times better and only cost an extra 4.99 for paint and hell you can use the box to fill in the bottom of the wings and they'll be more than enough spray paint left to paint the bottom of the wings flat black then throw about 5 minutes worth of dry brushing and it looks just as good as McFarlane's for an extra 20 buck max $50 total minus the cost of the figure it comes with!
At first i thought people were crazy paying $250 for this, but considering the details, no screw holes...I jumped in the crazy people boat. 😅 I paid more for my Hot Toys Batman so I can't argue with the price. Great review btw, thanks for keeping it honest.
It looks cool. I won’t be getting it due to space issue and the price. It’s like hasbro pulse prices. I do understand why it’s so expensive, as you mentioned. Maybe I’ll get the spin master one at some point.
Josh, I was anticipating your review of this bad boy and you hit all the aesthetics and functionality of the McFarlane Batwing. It would of been nice to see it against some various sized DC figures for scale, Robin, Bane, Darksied, Flash, and maybe some Spawn figures as well. But you did do a tutorial on dispaying it which is more then I expected (not a slight just a different helpful). Also the light idea was cool. 👍✌️
Thanks Steve, I’ll do some more playing and posing in the future. Between putting this behemoth together and mounting it, this review ended up being kind of a bear! It was also hard to shoot, the top view is too big for the frame and the front view is so slim that it’s tough to get a good perspective on the thing. I was struggling haha
@@JoshFromBefore it's understandable I never have done any filming of something of that scale. The struggle was real -glad you did not have to test the ejection seat 😁
Cool, I think the 1989 Batwing looks better. I'll pass on this, it doesn't have action on the missiles & the eject by doors where The Flash was ejected. I wish the body's die-cast- not a fan of plastic. God bless.
Man I can't wait to to never get this in Australia. McFarlane only gives a damn if you're American these days. Last wave I was able to get was Arkham wave. Been collecting for 3 years and it feels like shit.
Great video. Great channel. Where can I get that little light? 5:28

That batwing looks pretty cool mounted on the wall. The fact that your walls are purple gives it that night time look.
Those well known measurements..... Long, tall and short!
Lucky! Should’ve been $150, max!
I agree. $250 is just wrong

You need a big yellow oval to go as a backing to it looks like the bat symbol on your wall. Or the moon, like we saw in the 1989 film.

Mine comes in Saturday! ----- thanks for sharing
Very nice piece. If I hadn't decided to throw in on the Ramen Racer I would have picked it up.
Can’t wait for that 👌🏽
@@Collect2Disconnect You know it's gonna be 🔥

That batwing is sick
It’s so cool, really awesome display piece, but it’s soo expensive, I’ll have to pass on it but it’s dope
well done, good job. i am going to stick mine at an angle in the room top corner of the wall
This and the 89 batmobile are the best vehicles mcfarlane has released so far imo.
Batwing is way out of my price range, but its so dope.

Thanks for your comment, good to know!
Looks great on your wall. I haven’t opened mine yet but it too will be going on the wall.

Great review! Got the Batmobile but passed on this because of the $$$. Also already have a LEGO Batwing on my wall
Looks great can't wait to get mine should be here in the next couple of days!
The most impressive than the Spin Master by far!
Sweet! 💯 🔥 looks awesome on the wall bro!!!
It's amazing! But I think is just for trully fans of Burton's Batman because of that price and size
Yes I was waiting for this review I love the fact you can mount it on the wall!!🦇
Another great video! And looks amazing on the wall. I just have 1 question can the wings and fins come off after you’ve put them on?
Yes they can
Awesome. i'm so happy you showed it mounted. did the punch15 code cover shipping completely?
It ended up being $243.76 after tax and shipping, but I’ve heard that people are having inconsistent results with the code working
@@JoshFromBefore Thanks. i always appreciate you sharing the info!
Is your base wobbly while mounted, my screws went in flush and the raw plugs but the base wriggles whenever I move it?
Looks awesome, but i think overall i prefer the look of the 89 batwing. Thanks for the review man😁
Honestly, I just don't dig soft goods on my figures. Gimmee that molded silicone cape any day!
Really looks amazing, cool review dude 👍.

What is the size of Batman action figure? Is it a 4 inch action figure?
What is that joker monster truck in the back ground?

The batarangs what are they from?
One is from Arkham Asylum Batman, one is from Dark Knight Trilogy Batman
I say 250 never and pay way more after because it is not available over seas so we are left out anyways….
🍻
God I need one
I need it.
Josh, I am so tempted. Josh, please. Josh…
great figure, but $200 is kinda too much.

Nah they gotta put a little more effort for that price
No guns
Nah man. This much for a hunk of plastic, with bare paint and no diecast?
NO led cluster ? ill pass ... cheaply made , nothing beats the animated version
Great look!
