I think his reason on being quiet and outspoken hyung is like Xiumin. Xiumin explain before that he used to be quiet and let the other members talk so the dongsaengs will shine more. He doesn't have much role because the members rely more on the leader. So as the oldest, that's the only thing he can do to his members.
What i love most about him is how easy going he is like he is never ashamed to show his love publicly or even receive affection in public.Usually others would like push away a little or be all shy about it but he just goes with it unabashedly
