Hi Savanna! Thank you for all your amazing, super helpful insights and information 💜🙏💜
I'm curious if you have any advice on independent contractors who have to sign a non-compete agreement, or if that's something that only applies to employees? Or where more information can be found on specifics related to this topic please? Thanks so much in advance 💜🙏💜

I'm so glad our videos are helping!! ❤️
If you're an independent contractor, there's absolutely no reason to sign a non-compete agreement (at least in my opinion). As an IC, you're self-employed and they have absolutely no say as to how you run your business or do any other work. That's a common confusion in our industry...the IC classification is that of the Department of Labor and IRS, and it's the behavior between the business and the worker that decides it, not some contract or agreement between the two parties. You'll definitely want to watch this video if you haven't already where I explain all that further: th-cam.com/video/7QcFzJLpXHc/w-d-xo.html
Even as an employee, non-competes don't often hold up, but that greatly depends on the area. Many states are what is considered "right to work" and that can translate into meaning that non-competes are not really enforceable, or just not worth trying to enforce for most companies.

When I first started out the franchise I worked for frequently sued previous employees over the non compete clause since ours stated even if the client found you some how you can't see them for a year. He never won, but it didn't stop him from taking them to court unfortunately.

Great video. Is it a good idea for a physical therapist to go back to school to study massage therapy and work in it part time? Thank you

That's definitely just a personal preference. I think the massage education can definitely help PTs as massage isn't studied quite as in-depth as many other manual skills in PT school. I do know of a few PTs who also see massage clients on the side to break up their days, give them a break from all the documentation and insurance headaches, etc. but again, it really just comes down to what you want your day-to-day work life to look like.

@@MyMassageWorld thank you for your insight. It definitely gives me things to consider but am definitely leaning to enrolling in massage therapy school by 2022. Thank you for your kind words.
