In the case of Sun vs Kim, the predominantly Chinese crowd among the spectators were of course rooting for Sun. Obviously, a lot of Chinese people can afford to travel to other countries to cheer for their players, while there was no one from North Korea, except the North Korean team members.
It's definitely a unique style even compared to the India Female Team, where the fast and powerful FH attack and commitment to always utilizing the spin of the long pips on the BH sets her apart. I wish she played more internationally.

Chinese will not forgive this cute Korean defeat their #1. They are already making player to train with in a long pips style. Already after second game Sun had slightly defeated body language. he had no answers for those screwed up balls coming to her. Long pips. Nasty rubber. Also borderline serve by Sun. hiding the ball by her arm.
But being from North Korea they don't participate in many tournaments, they came out of nowhere in the Olympics, haven't seen them since, until this tournament. It would be nice to see them more active.
I don't know that the CNT needs to adapt to the long-pips close-to-the-table style itself - other CNT members handled LP blocker/attackers like Manika Batra without much difficulty - so much as that they haven't run into a truly world-class exemplar of this style in years. Obviously, they haven't produced their own in a few decades (were there any since Deng Yaping?), but given how deep the provincial system's talent pool is they can probably produce three world-class clones of subsets of her style for their top 4 to practice against in pretty short order, which is the approach they've taken in the past when presented with 'crisis' players like Timo, Joo, Hirano, Harimoto, etc. They haven't had to go outside their own system to solve a problem since they sent Kong Linghui to Sweden.

That's surprising. Sun Yingsha in my view has one of the best feeling of the ball. She always so consistent and returns almost everything at least against normal rubbers. I thought she would be able to crack long pips player as well.

規則 該改兩面膠皮需要同型號的膠皮了,已經看不出來 選手是打技術 還是打膠皮了.
戰術相對單薄了；
反膠打者要針對顆粒面，不給典型的上旋或下旋，給他一些奇怪的慢速球或沒旋轉的擊球；正手攻也不拉規整的，偶爾用拍的；總之一個原則 - - 給他亂。
聽到21:30評述就知道用無縫球是大會不當，大場地比賽氣流不穩定是不當，場地海拔高度與北京不同令莎莎難適應也是不當的，莎莎公主是最捧的。
为什么其他球员能适应变化，而中国乒乓球运动员却不能？事实上，中国球员经过多年的训练，应该有更多的快速适应变化的经验。
