No, not with ALL analogue metal detectors. Do not try that with a Tejon . Not with ,That, machine's circuitry. From an old-time-long-time Tejon user. Never generalise. There are always exceptions to Every rule, imo.

@@nufrii Not on any of my UK Roman or Medieval habitation sites it won't. Fine on less "traffic"/lower min' ; agreed, but not there, not on my sites. In fact, those sites are the sole reason for me getting Dave at Pentechnics UK to install the 'UK Pro' fixed GB option on my Tejon many years ago. Full turn to the left until it 'clicks' on to it's optimal fixed GB setting .( I've tried the ubiquitous, max gain till it rattles and back-off craic, and the max gain GB'ing, but, on my ancient sites, it's hopeless . I can't run gain above 3, on my Tejon with a 5/10 DD, on my sites). The GBing range now has a reduced parameter (5 instead of 10, each way of central) for GB'ing, so it's "easy does it", for manual GB'ing. I shit you not, nufrii. BTW: I put 1mm thick nitrile 'O' rings behind the potentiometer knobs on my Tejon. It stops the knobs from drifting, as the potentiometer knobs on a Tejon can be too easy to move off their setting....Anyway, from my experiences, there are far too many differing locales, containing far too many variables, to generalize. Golden Mask 4Xtreme has extreme depth and fast recovery speed at the same time. I watched most of videos in this chanel , D2 is one of those detectors, but when set D2 to ''hit'' deep targets recovery speed is bad .
How will it do in heavy iron? Also PWM? this an audio type on the D2, curious as to what the difference is and why GM doesn't state what frequency this machine operates at!
Aye. Good shout on kHz. "Horses for courses". With the 7" DD on it'll sep' fine in concentrated ancient site iron. No great surprise there though, for a plus 15kHz machine.😉👍
In real life you don't know what is buried in the ground, how should be set metal detector ? If set the metal detector for a good depth, should reduce recovery speed, and vice versa, if want to find non-ferrous targets near to iron, should increase the recovery speed, but will lose depth. I think that to treasure hunters understand real possibilities of each metal detector, you should combine ''IRON TEST'' + ''Deep Targets'' into one test .

GM4 lub D1 i Gauss to takie wykrywki które obojętnie z czym chodzisz to fajnie je mieć i czasami do nich wracać. Potrafią zaskoczyć i jako poprawiacze spisują się wyśmienicie. Natomiast nowa wersji 4ki kusi niezwykle. Dzięki za testy.
