There was such a lovely variety of aircraft and sounds back then.
The variation in air-frames was unprecedented. Engine sounds meant something. Transit thru airports was part of the traveling experience!
Such a great paint scheme of the Ansett 747 celebrating the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
the variety of airlines and airliners were just amazing!! Good ol' days.
Thank you very much for uploading this. The year 1998 is when I was born and have been using Kansai airport every year. Particularly, I used to fly on JAL fleet of B747 from this airport. You remind me of all of good memories.
I miss the era of B747, dc-10 and md-11. I hope to see classic jumbo again 😊😊
I passed through Kansai some years ago, its superb for aircraft spotting
Perfect, 747,s and MD 11, is a beautiful 👍👍👍👍
wow.. you still have this great video 20 years ago... thanks
this is what it's called the real good old days
Why did that Ansett Australia livery look like Singapore Airlines’
Because SIA leased the aircraft to Ansett Australia. You can see that the aircraft kept the original registration, '9V-SMT' at 1:24.
air new zealand had a similar livery on their 777 200 they leased from singapore airlines
@@DeityRukasu They even painted the "Megatop" sign on the upper deck very poorly
*WOW ! Excellent video ! Very RARE ! I enjoyed it !*
MD-11, 747, 747, MD-11, rinse and repeat. Good times.
Watching all of these videos from the late 90s and early 2000s makes me miss the 747 even more as this was before the 777-300ER was introduced and soon to replace most 747s.
Hard to see 744 nowadays. Love your footage as always
I wasn't expected to see an Air France A340 here ^^

Thank you
It is nice to see this viewer twenty years ago and we are comparing it to the current time
Before the advent of the Airbus 380, the most prominent aircraft was the Boeing 747 was the Queen of Heaven
Osaka Airport is one of the leading international airports and is a major gateway to Japan's airports
Currently there are differences in planes and also much different in many things
They are so beautiful . .thanku
..love an god bless x
I remember flying into Kansai Airport that year. It wasn't too long before ORD-KIX direct flights disappeared, too expensive to fly in there. ORD-Chubu Airport flights were only around as long as the Expo was in Nagoya. Took one of those flights, too.
back when MD-11s and DC-10s are still in the sky! Good times! and That DC-10 KLM x Northwest is a beast livery!
今とは違ってANAもJALもバンバン関空から長距離線飛ばしてた時代ですね、新鮮です!
Love so many 747s.
Thank you for uploaded! I'm missing old type airplanes
Your vids are simply the best.

That DC-10 Northwest-KLM livery 👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Miss the DC-10s so much. Never forget seeing my first one land when spotting. Scott LOOK!! DC-10. Is what my buddy said... I have been hooked ever since.
The NW KLM is a DC-10...which is what I was referring to, captain correction.. 😁😂😋
The golden era of planespotting.
懐かしいな
20年前はー400が主流でお世話に成りました😁
DC,MD、ー600も懐かしくありがとうございます。
Aww! I remember Northwest... and I still just love those - what are they, MD series jets? - with the two rear-mounted engines; they take off like little rockets!
Yes the DC-9s and their derivatives, especially the MD 80. Incidentally, last week was a sad one for them because American Airlines, their largest operator, finally retired their last remaining ones. Delta will as well over the next years. they are already a rare sights nowadays. 😞
I was just starting high school in 1998 :)
I also got my first computer back then!
Beautiful plane spotting memories, I like to much Northwest nice look ..excellent video, love it..thanks for the post

The era of Boeing 747 and DC10. Good old aircrafts.

全盛期の関西空港はすごいですね
Wow big boing nice kapan saya di ajak terbang gratis
Even tho I was born in 2003 I miss the 90’s for some reason, I’d give anything to see a DC-10 or MD-11 (passenger) takeoff
5:43 look at that flap moving. That might have been broken?
Nostalgic.
Que hermoso video!

Buen video 🤗
Good old days, that never ll return... Sad...
If you could compile all your videos into a CD or something like this, it would sell for A LOT of money! 😮
Very vintage aircrafts.....
Love that China Eastern MD-11F

The next 20 years should be interesting.
すごく昔のように感じるけど、自分が生まれた年だコレ・・・
I miss Ansette Australia.
All with their old livery...
0:56 Rip Ansett
Such a shame that Ansett is no longer with us. I took my first flight on an Ansett 727. ✈️
How does one tell the difference between the DC-10 and MD-11? They look pretty much the same.
David Fung Eh. Winglets could have been installed later for the DC-10.
DC-10 does not have winglets.
MD-11 is longer and has winglets.
It's that easy
QuarioQuario54321 md-11 is the newer version of dc10 it has a lot of screens and stuff
추억 돋네... 헤헤
I miss the b777 of malaysia airlines 15:48 😌
Didn't Japan Air System have some nice liveries. The JAL livery then looked so much more modern than the current livery, if you can call plain white a livery
17:11 どう見ても塗装忘れにしか見えない…
Didn't know that american airlines came to kansai back then. Nostalgic.
747 is gud boi :)
Not have NUTELA aircraft.
Old style Asiana airlines was there. wow
Malaysian was among the first operators of the 777 among a sea of 747s and DC-10s.
747SP!
Can you do in Philippines
the old China Eastern livery is so much better compared to their no livery today.
I see anset australia boeing 747-400
The 747 is legendary
Yes Sir!!! Huge thanks to Lufthansa who is the only carrier to pick up the new passenger version of the 747-8.
13:10 Now that is an amazing way of sending off a *normal* flight, let alone a special one! A salute, then a bow for their service, then a continuous wave not only for the pilots but also the passengers! You can even see the passengers waving back! Simply epic!
EmJeeButterz When in left Narita the same thing happened to my flight, guess traditions this old still survive the modern world
Then there are those ramp agents that do Fortnite dances as a sendoff in the US
