    As a younger physical media collector, I would just buy the movies I want separately, 1500$ is WAY too much for basically anyone, just think of everything you could buy with that money. Not to metion they don’t come in cases, which ruins the display value of these movies. While I am happy that this exists, as it means physical media is still going strong, I feel only a small percentage of people would actually buy it. It would be cool if disney made boxes for the seperate era's of their animtion, like a Renaissance era box that contans all the Renaissance movies like the Lion King and the little mermaid, at a discounted price of 200 or somthing.

    I think releasing it in separate Volume box sets with 4Ks like the Columbia Classic box sets would have been more palatable on price for the market. Also, having to enter so many individual codes is a pain! I know that I’ve bought box sets like the Hitchcock ones that have a single code for multiple films so, that would have been more convenient.
    I would like to see a comprehensive release of restored 4K Disney films going back to the start. I believe that a release of Song of the South (1946) had at one time been planned with an introduction to the film explaining the problematic issues for modern audiences but don’t know if anything came of it.
    I’d also love to see official releases of the original Star Wars trilogy. I’ve seen Star Wars 4K77, 4K80 and 4K83 and want to see these in an official box set.

I will say that I find it ridiculous that anyone can try and justify this kinda cost for blurays as we often can find many of these already for under $10 even on DMC. That being said, this does feel like it is more for the "Disney" collector than the "movie" collector and may be priced appropriately for those that really don't care about having the movies as much as just another high end collectible from the Fat Rat (I lived in Orlando for a number of years).

    Nice Review Jeff! The kiddos will love all those movies for sure!!! This is a pass for me, I like the concept but the price point is a hurdle. Enjoy the collection and glad to see Disney recognizing one of our Voices of Physical Media!!!👍

    I’m not even sure where I could find the set! I’ve heard it was exclusive to Walmart; I went to Walmart, but they would not let me buy it. It’s a long story, but they kept refusing my credit card! So I stopped trying. Now it’s sold out? Perhaps this sent a message to the Disney company that physical media is still important. I wonder if the quality of these movies was any better than the previous issues of each film, but I cannot tell you how much I wanted this but could not get it! I admit I do have a few of these films from previous issues on Blu-ray or as Blu-ray DVD combinations. However, there were films that I have been dying to get that are in this collection and that is why I would have spent the major money that they wanted for this. Do I need Crystal mouse years? No, but if that’s the only way they’re going to offer such a great set like this I would have plunged down the money. Why Walmart did not want my money. I don’t understand! How else could I have gotten this box set? Please elaborate. I don’t know if I still have a chance, but if I did, I would plug down the money tomorrow.

    Thx for the informative review 🤩 i dont have time to read every comment so sorry if im repeating someone 👍 i noticed one corner of the box was crunched a bit and if i had bought that at the full price i wouldn't be able to deal with a crunched box corner and would insist on returning it for a replacement... i also noticed some gray smudges ( ? ) on one of the pages as you flipped thru it.. that would also drive me insane for that price 😬 i know you received it as a promotional item, but love to hear your thoughts and others on tolerance of small dinks and dents like these.. thx

    You call out Marvel at the end, but they did do a Infinity Saga boxset with all of the first 20 movies together in one boxset.
    Star Wars did the Skywalker Saga boxset but nothing yet for the rest of the TV shows.

    Not sure how this is a Walmart exclusive. After seeing reports about the set coming out, I got an e-mail from the Disney movie club advertising it there (Several months ago now). The e-mail also stated that the set would count as only TWO of the four purchases needed to become a premium member and it was strictly limited to THREE units per membership. Even if I had the money to toss at this, I have everything I want here on either Blu or 4K.

    It's a nice box set but the content has already been released. For the price, it should have been something like the Disney Treasure tin sets upgraded to Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray. Now that would have been something special and worthy of the price tag.

    This collection looks cool, but I'm with you about not liking the cardboard sleeves for storing these. If I hadn't already bought the ones I care about on Blu-ray over the years I'd probably be getting this. Seems fair for the amount of movies and all of them with a digital copy. There's only a couple of Disney movies in this set and a few others not in this set that I haven't updated to Blu-ray, but I have them on DVD. I'm probably going to just get those five movies on blu-ray sometime while they're available and call my classic Disney/Pixar blu-ray collection done. I'm collecting certain Disney classics on 4K as they are being released and still have the Pixar titles from Toy Story up to The Good Dinosaur that I want to upgrade to 4K at some point, but at the moment I have too many irons in the fire, so to speak, with other 4K & Blu-ray releases coming out and even a few DVD sets I still want to get before they're gone. I just hope the 4K's don't go OOP before I can get them. I'm thinking DVD and Blu-ray would likely go OOP first being the older technology so I've prioritized them first on my 'to get' list. Especially with no guarantee that those I'm referring to would be released on 4K Blu-ray anytime soon, if ever. Thanks for taking the time to show this set, though. It looks like something I'd buy if I didn't already have the ones I care about. Plus, one of those I haven't bought yet is being released on 4K Blu-ray sometime in quarter 1 of 2024 (Fantasia) so I'm holding out for it. Great video! 👍🏻👍🏻
    Have a Happy New Year!

    Superb package! But, how do you do to get all those BD and 4K discs? I mean, discs ae expensive so I presume you can't buy them all? I look at many of your videos reviews and in Canada, prices vary from 20$ - 40$ and even more each movie. I would like to have some movies in 4K that I already bought in DVD / BD but don't have the money to buy them all since prices is to high.

      My last comment got deleted for mentioning specific sites but check the used market and keep up for when movies go on sale. Check local video stores and online. People sell their collections in bulk and its crazy the kinds of deals you can find by just looking. I found someone online offloading their Disney collection for like 1/5 of the price of this one. Also you don't need every movie in 4k. Blu rays are good enough and way cheaper and I'd say depending on the movie DVD is fine too. Only go for 4k if you get a good deal or if it's one of your absolute favorite movies. Otherwise it's not worth

    • @SteviesCornerYouTubeChannel
      @SteviesCornerYouTubeChannel ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NCozy For sure, I want to buy in 4K my favorite movies that worth the upgrade. Of course, 4K alone doesn't mean better. It's the fact that you receive special packages directly from companies to review that I don't understand? I mean, your not a representative or something alike to my understanding but only a guy who likes to review movies, which is super for people like me 😄

    • @NCozy
      @NCozy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SteviesCornerTH-camChannel Ohh, I misunderstood. Yeah that's pretty normal they'll send products to people because he has not only a large following but a lot of people who follow him happen to also be collectors and would be interested in a package like this. It's just marketing, they send him a copy so he can make a video and they end up spending less than they would on creating an ad.

    It’s priced that way cause they knew they could sell it. Sad. I may try and pick one up and hope that it goes down in price. These usually do unless it’s a really limited run. I was able to buy the Warner Bros 50 for less than $2 a movie, and you still can.
