- Genshin Impact, but we use Catalysts ONLY. AKA, Spells Only.
This is inspired by my own Swords Only playthrough we currently have running on the channel. That account is at a point where we just need to farm domains to further build characters, so with plenty of catalyst-wielding characters on the horizon, it's time to begin this journey as well.
This time around we rerolled a number of accounts (didn't show all of them) and eventually settle on one of them. We may run into issues down the line with lacking certain elements, but I think this is a better start.

Java Important note: the wind catcher CANNOT activate anemo monument. So u have to get either sucrose or cheat and use lumine
Edit: also to those saying that the anemo samachurl will work, elemental monuments can only be activated by players not enemies

As a Nigguang main I was almost disappointed watching him struggling to stick to the account. I cannot wait for the new episodes now. Also she can do some big numbers without much work. You just need to not hesitate to charge attack. As of my experience at least.
Its not for ningguang skills I think its for the element, that yanfei or sucrose would have been better
a little thing i'd like to point out: i think you should start farming philanemo mushrooms right now because 3 catalyst users (barbara, klee, and mona) all use them to ascend :D

KAEYA QUEST IMPORANT: there are cryo slimes near the monuments you can either swirl them with sucrose which you can't or just superconduct them with lisa because it deals Aoe cryo damage
@Rogikel they can prob respawn or he can give her a weaker weapon
@@Dendro_cat weaker weapon no artis is the way to go. They dont respawn, once theyre gone theyre gone.

as a guy who my first 4* star was literally Ningguang i have at least 600+ of each "basic" ore

i literally have 3 accounts and on all the noelle banner pulls had at least one sucrose in it
and even during the start i hated her for some reason
Hi Java! I have been seeing many other "weapon only" challenges on TH-cam, and i watched a few to realise that you're actually the best. The fact that you always try all possible ways before giving up really makes this series a lot more interesting. Great Job JavaTheCup!

As a catalyst user enjoyer myself and a Ningguang main, this makes me very happy. I actually kinda wanna see someone give you the battlepass just so you could get Ningguang an R1 Solar Pearl for the aesthetic and also bc its a pretty good weapon.
I think its not possible to buy someone a battlepass (in codash*p) :)

you can actually use lisa on the cryo slimes near the cryo monuments and they’ll activate because superconduct qualifies as cryo.
following this logic, you could also use lisa on pyro slimes to light torches and monuments with overload.
9:36 there are cryo slimes (as you said) but if you hit them with Lisa you can still activate the pillars cuz superconduct will deal aoe cryo damage letting you activate the pillars
Ningguang elemental skill hit the balloon if they are close enough and Lisa along with many others catalyst can't focus their attack on normal objects unless they are very close or sth and her skill can hit enemies higher than her with her elemental skill(hold) as long as they are inside of the skill aoe circle.
Gotta say that your "only" series are so enjoyable. I've been here since a little before 'Swords only' first started, and your charisma, sarcasm, and dedication really stood out, so I've been here ever since. Frankly, the quality of your content has never dwindled, so although there have been other accounts doing similar things, I don't see them as competition. Keep doing what you do, Java; your vids are always a pleasure to watch

Ningguang charged attacks target stuff = Those wind flowers + Ningguangs charged attack = No more wind flower.
It has a limit tho I think
Java just for your information you can activate the cryo monuments with lisa IF there are some cryo enemy so that lisa can superconduct them and activate the monument (btw you have to be near the monument)
I know you probably already know this Java but to determine party level they add up the level of all available characters. In your case it would 40, as ninnguan+Lisa are both 20. Then the game assumes that there are always 4 party members. So 40/4 is a team level of 10

there have been lots of new "____ weapon only" videos coming out but no one else can compete with the way you always challenge yourself, every episode is so entertaining to watch, keep up the good work! i really enjoy all your videos :)
I think you can do kaeya's story quest. Just attack the slimes with Lisa near the monuments, superconduct should light them up.
now that u ascended ningguang u should use her charged attacks every 2 or 3 normal attacks
you can destory the "ballon" plants with barbara's charged attack

I really hope Java realizes how good ningguang is. Also he should really be doing charge attacks after three basic attacks with ningguang
7:31 if you can get an enemy to light the grass on fire nearby the monument, and then do a charged atk on the lit grass with lisa, it should cause overload and apply pyro to the monument
also for kaeya's domain, i believe hitting the cryo slimes with lisa when they are near the monument should trigger superconduct and somehow activate the monument
i dont think there is a way to activate the anemo ones without sucrose/heizou though :(

tip for ningguang as a ningguang main-
when you use her basic attacks, you gain the star gem thingys around her. the most you can have is three, and when you release a charged attack it also releases those star thingys around her and it deals more dmg. either in a constellation or ascension talent you dont have any stamina taken from your charged attack when you, duh, do a charged attack
He probably already knew that but that was really helpful for me lol
For the puzzle at 6:25 you can use the Wind-Blessed-Harpastum. I also use this Item sometimes for these puzzles. U need to buy it from Marjorie in Mondstadt. It is quit expensive but worth it.

Btw java the wind catcher does not work for those monuments a bows only person tried doing that and it did not work

the eye of perception can actually be rlly good for bounties and enemies w/ all elemental res so i'd say thats rlly lucky

IMPORTANT FOR KAEYA’S QUEST:
I believe that superconduct is a cryo attack. This means that if you hit the slimes with Lisa while they are next to the monuments, it should activate them. I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I saw this work for someone else while they were doing the quest.
Someone else in the comments also pointed out that this same method may work to light up other elemental monuments.
Java don't waste your time to get wind catcher. It doesn't activate those things.
Still useful I think there isnt any catalyst user to go higher for geoculus etc
Ningguang was a great pull not for monstate but for Liyue since you can actually do the puzzles in the Chasm.

In Kaeya's quest you can use lisa so that u can do superconduct and light the cryo thingies

His new playthrough falls in so nicely with Heizou coming out on 2.8!!!! Can't wait for him to use this different look on catalysts.
Edit: Also you can only get Ningguang and Sucrose from Noelle's banner (only catalysts on it)

isn't there a craftable item you can use to collect wind spirits? It might help with getting access to anemo powers.

LOL this was extra entertaining for me as on y own acc (my main not my spells only) I got Ningguang and Noelle first 8 pull and Sucrose on my next 8, Mained Sucrose and got her C1 on Venti's banner, Ningguang carried me through so many geo enemies, watching you struggle for Sucrose and get Ningguang made me see just how lucky I was to get 2 of the best 4* so early on. Thanks as always for making my day XD

Interesting theory with the luck but my first 5* character was at AR50 and until AR55 no limited character and lately I got four early pities after each other (well atleast before 70)

I think the lower than recommended is the average of your characters and so it takes the 2 0s and includes them too
