Don't be a one or the other investor. Be growth AND dividend. Your wallet doesn't care if the income comes from a 5% dividend or half of 10% growth. That's the beauty of the SP. All of the Dividend Aristocrats, all the mag 7 high growers, internationals like Ford and Coke but with US stability.
To me, dividend investing is no different than buying a house to rent out. You buy the house with lump sum money (hopefully, no mortgage), find tenants to live there and collect monthly rent payments (dividends) from the tenants. Same could be said for any other business, private or public.
You should build your portfolios accordingly: part of them should be in growth/big tech stock ETFs, part should be in value dividend stock ETFs, and part should be in CEFs. Different portions of your money serve different financial goals.
Rather than HDV,SCHD or any others. Buy Mega caps dividend stocks with better track records such as SHEL,CVX,ABBV,XOM,JNJ,TM,KO MRK and IBM all are mega caps
Dividends from the stock market were a key motivator for me to start investing. In my view, if you make sound investments that generate additional income alongside dividends, you can eventually live off that dividend income without the need to sell assets. This approach not only provides financial security for yourself but also creates a lasting legacy for your children, giving them a financial advantage. Over the years, I’ve invested more than $600,000 in dividend stocks and continue to buy more, especially during market dips.
Hearing insights from seasoned investors who have successfully navigated market downturns is always reassuring. It can be challenging to see your portfolio fluctuate from gains to losses, but if you focus on high-quality companies and remain committed to your strategy, you'll be in a strong position to weather market volatility.
I completely agree, which is why I value working with an investment coach. Their specialized skills and deep understanding of risk management make it highly unlikely for them to underperform. Over the past two years, I’ve seen impressive gains of over $400K with the guidance of my investment coach.
Rebecca Lynne Buie has consistently been my top recommendation. She’s widely recognized for her expertise in financial markets and has a strong track record. I highly recommend her.
Thank you so much for the recommendation. I've always been intrigued by investing, and your message has truly inspired me. I'll look her up and reach out soon. Best wishes to you!
Well said. It doesn't have to be one or the other. I like dividends in dome cases and I like hyper growth in others. Invest, swing trade and day trade. Learn all the above.
CNBC should give us, the viewers, a weekly show that would focus on dividend investing. An hour or even a half hour and Jenny would be the host. Thoughts?
Most dividend ETFs and its holdings are still at risk and volatility continues due free 4.3% treasury 1-3 BIL rates. Why buy dividend stocks when i can get 4.3% risk free
If you can't understand why someone would pay $100 to get $4 back every year then dividend investing is not for you.i bought MRK, KMB AND PEP for passive income. I just need to divest my portfolio around $80k into cryptos and I am set for the year. Any suggestions?
4% back in first year, and have that cash back grow by 10% per year and some capital appreciation over time. Then it gets exciting. MRK is a really good buy, you can get a qualified advisor to guide you in diversifying into cryptos for personalized guidance tailored to your risk tolerance and goals.
Having an investment advisor is the best approach to the market . I was going solo without much success until my wife introduced me to an advisor. I've achieved over 80% capital growth this year, excluding dividends. So i will advise you get one as well.
Lauren Christine Campbell is the CFA I work with and im just putting this out here because you asked. You can Just search the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment.
Thanks for the suggestion! I really needed it. I looked her up on Google and explored her website; she has an impressive background in investments. I've sent her an email, and I hope to hear back from her soon!
Thank you CNBC.Yes I'm overweight in Dividend Stocks but Do have Growth of atleast 25% .But I've Been doing Great in OTM Covered call ETF what do you think.JEPQ,GPIQ,GPIX. And BIGY is one I just Bought.I have a Return of 314.28% last 5 Years Thanks alot to you and Tom Lee
Why on earth, would you want a dividend, when individual companies are doibling and trippling in value and even the index S&P 500 got like 25-30% return last year.. why wpuld you settle for 5-6% when you can make much mich more thsn that, especially when compounded over a few years?? Of course nobody needs dividend, and people need to invest in nice growth stocks or at least good companies with somewhat growing income (eps)😊
Because you have to sell your asset to get money with dividends you don't. Warren B gets more dividends per year than his initial investment in KO ! Never sold a share
As an investment enthusiast, I often wonder how top-level investors are able to become millionaires through investing. I have a significant amount of capital to start with, but I'm unsure about the strategies and direct I should take to help me generate substantial profits like some people are this season.
I’m not in a position to offer financial advice, but given the significant amount of capital you're working with, it would be wise to consult a financial advisor who can guide you in developing a strategy tailored to your goals and risk tolerance.
Factos!!. After experiencing a major portfolio loss in 2020 amid the COVID pandemic while trying to manage my investments on my own, I reached out to an investment advisor. They helped me turn my $420k into a seven-figure portfolio by providing the guidance and strategy I needed. Having that expertise made a significant difference in my investment journey.
Thanks for sharing your experience! I’ve been managing my portfolio myself, but it’s not working out. Do you have any recommendations for a good investment advisor? I could really use some help.
Nikki Leigh Brooks is a highly respected figure in her field. I suggest delving deeper into her credentials, as she possesses extensive experience and serves as a valuable resource for individuals seeking guidance in navigating the financial market.
Thank you so much for the suggestion! I really needed it. I looked her up on Google and explored her website; she has an impressive background in investments. I've sent her an email, and I hope to hear back from her soon!
From $10,000 to $76,000 that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.
Venturing into crypto as a newbie was very difficult due to lack of experience which resulted in loosing funds......... But Virond Thomas, restored hope shes a good woman
Charlotte bate has really set the standard for others to follow, we love her here in Canada 🇨🇦 as she has been really helpful and changed lots of life's
I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 385K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% annually in dividend returns. any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated.
As a newbie investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Ruth Ann Tsakonas, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market.
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analysing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted on thorough research and years of practical experience..
how would you recommend i enter the crypto market? I am also looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. What's your take on this approach?? and How can i reach her, if you don't mind me asking?

Jenny Harrington is spot-on about dividend investing. Good stuff!
jenny is the top analiss in dividend tanks

Agreed 👍
Total returns is better than dividends.
