If QM did sank, it would be a devastating blow to Cunard, losing their biggest flagship would be a massive PR blow, I seriously doubt the line will survive to the present day. Also, could you upgrade your mic quality ? I have to turn up my volume to max so I can listen. And could you make a scenario if RMMV Oceanic III did get built ? Or what if SS Normandie didn't get burned ?
Queen Mary is truly a one of a kind ship, had she been sunk in WWII, it would have crippled morale, led to the most devastating disaster in maritime history, surpassing the Wilhelm Gustloff's death toll by six times as many, and her wreck would be one of the golden prizes for shipwreck hunters. Titanic would have been left to rust and decay, undisturbed for decades on the bottom of the North Atlantic, before any attempt would be made to hunt her down. And I'm guessing since the survivors would have drifted in the sea long before the ship picked them up, it would be unknown exactly where the ship had gone down. Her wreck would be one of the toughest to ever find on the sea floor.
To be honest, queen mary looked Menacing in fact already menacing in her passenger variant, great video! if she did sink, Queen Elizabeth would probably still be around, if QE did sink Cunard would not be still around probably, unless they make RMS Queen Elizabeth the new flag ship and make like a Queen Victoria or smth. But yes it would be a devastating blow to the Atlantic Rout and Cunard ofc. If it did happen, the ocean liner historians would go crazy over the biggest ship in the world, the pride of cunard line sinking
Thank God that never happened. There was an AU I read a while ago where both Queen Mary AND Queen Elizabeth were lost (QE got torpedoed; she almost was irl). In that timeline, the world's big transatlantic companies came together on a standardized design based on the proposed but ofc never-built "Liner of the Future" in order to recover from losing virtually all the big liners in the war. Either something like that works out, or the Cunard Line would no longer be around today.
Maybe Paul Gallico would not survive this, meaning the Poseidon novel/story would not exist and therefore the Poseidon movies (from 1972 to 2006) would not exist either
Actually, we wouldn't entirely know that. In fact, I created a made-up scenario in the comments section of the video where Paul Gallico was one of the few survivors, and he escaped from the capsized ship, along with several others. He would go on to write his novel about his experience, except it wouldn't be a fictional story. It would be a nonfiction survivor's account, which he calls "The Queen Mary Adventure".
In this alternate timeline, one of the most known survivors was a man named Paul Gallico, a soldier, who was also a short-story author. He and several others were in the midsection of the ship when it completely capsized. Realizing they would only have a limited time to escape before the vessel sunk, he and another soldier, who had been a preacher before being drafted, led five other survivors through to the bottom of the ship. One of the soldiers had grenades in his backpack, which they could use to blast their way out of the ship. Following a map of the ship a teenage soldier had (they flipped it upside down to make it easier to follow), they made it to the cargo bay. But in the process, they passed through the engine room, which was almost completely on fire. A turbine explosion sent the preacher falling into the firey water, devastating the survivors, including Paul. He felt bad for years as he had never asked the preacher what his name was, which he learned two years later, was Joesph Scott. As they reached the cargo hold, the soldier with the grenades safely set them all off against the hull, forming a small hole just large enough for each person to fit through. They could see the lightning-filled sky above. By the time the last of them climbed out, water was up to their chest level in the ship. Amazingly, as they stood on the hull, they found several other survivors in a tiny inflatable raft. This group had been washed off the deck the moment the wave struck. Out of the hundreds on the deck, only these few survived and clung to the life raft, which had also been washed overboard. Now they were pulling off the only six survivors from *inside* the ship. 30 seconds after they got everyone off, including Paul, the vessel sank. It had been only 32 minutes since the vessel was capsized. The handful of survivors were later rescued by the passing ship (mentioned in the video), an hour later. Many had suffered from hypothermia-related injuries but were alive, and eventually made full recoveries. Years later, Gallico would find the strength to write about what he experienced, in a nonfiction novel he named “The Queen Mary Adventure”. The story was a chilling hit when it was published in 1969, and in 1972, the book was adapted into a movie. Gallico was played by Ernest Borgnine, and Joesph Scott was played by Gene Hackman, roles that both actors said they were honored to play. Gallico said the actor’s portrayal of him and Scott was very respectful of how they were in real life. Gallico passed away in 1976, four years after the movie's release. It’s a day that’ll never be forgotten. Titanic may have been the most well-known shipwreck, but Queen Mary was the deadliest in history, cementing the story to the same level of infamy. Gallico's firsthand account shows the horror that everyone had to go through, and what a miracle it was that at least a few, out of 16,000, had survived.
I do also believe Queen Mary’s loss would’ve made US or UK lost to WW2 because it was a major factor that they were transporting troops to their destinations
No One ships loss no matter how important wouldn’t effect the war Germany was very likely to lose from the vastness of the Soviets to the wide empires of Britain and the USA Japan was even worse off
@@icemonster360 oh. There's a 2006 Poseidon model that can be Capsized and it sinks by the stern. From what I've read, sliding electric hatches on the side in areas with clear escape routes for air, are what is needed for ships to sink. Just wanted to let you know in case you were planning on remastering the Titanic and Britannic. Also for fun, could you build Clive Palmer's Titanic 2 since it's not gonna happen for real?
I imagine maybe in this universe RMS Queen Elizabeth could have taken Queen Mary’s spot in long beach
Doubt it
Olympic would’ve been fire if preserved

Rogue Wave like what happened to Poseidon in 1972
Yea, but unlike Poseidon, QM was hit by a rouge wave in irl, but she survived
Please come to our lord and savior Jesus Christ and please read the bible ans by the way I don’t mean anything against you so don’t worry please
@@Railroaders_For_Life It was the rouge wave hitting the QM that actually inspired the Poseidon Adventure.

Amazing one ice monster
Would Germany had Won the War If the Queen Mary sunk?
I don’t think so, it may have just delayed the end of the war
Almost wouldnt make a difference
Lmao no. Germany’s fate was already sealed when they attacked the Soviet Union.
Tno lore..
No sure the queen Mary did have an impact but nowhere near enough to cause a German loss
Maybe delays the wars ended by like a week though
remember, ships can be big, but the ocean will always be mightier
Hey icemonster, You gonna realease the troopship Queen mary, Just asking because it looks real cool.
Hey icemonster can you make a video of what if white star had the bigger share of the Cunard white star?
Can we have a part two where you make a story ig rasing the wreck!
Hmm youre right
Having been on the ship I’m glad this didn’t happen
Kind of liked one where she was actually sunk by a sub
Dang I could imagine rms Queen Mary sink just like and where is the Rms Queen Elizabeth
I do also believe Queen Mary’s loss would’ve made US or UK lost to WW2 because it was a major factor that they were transporting troops to their destinations
No

Japan was even worse off
Will this verson be uploaded
Did you get this idea from posiden
How did you get the ship to stay upsidedown?
I made the model static
