    Our memories/information about us is what makes "self". That seems almost axiomatic. So then sure wherever all our memories/information is stored is physical locus of the self. But why are we assuming that brains are the only place we our memories/information is stored? Why not in other parts of the body as well? There is the spinal cord? And then there is the peripheral nervous system? The network of neurons in the gut are almost equal to the size of a small mammals brain.

    We are conscious in the present, we are aware of 'a' past.

    I am a soft of hyper dimensional conscious presence piloting a meat robot through a 3 dimensional spacio-temporal rift. These two parts correspond to one another less with each event.
