have to think that there is a far side cartoon for this vehicle. Several engineers sitting beside it, mugs of tea in hand and oily rags on the floor. Well they wanted us to mount a 183mm gun. Cackles of laughter. Yeah but no one said it had to be the size of a terraced house. Well done lads. I might move in with the wife. What next? Multi-fuel engine for the Chieftain. Blue smoke or black? Blue lads, lots of blue.
Glad you like it and hopefully it provides an interesting family momento for you!😀.... Most of the videos I took were on the Friday so you find yourself in more of them.
Well done! Now, hopefully, some museum manager doesnt decide to take it apart again and leave the turret in the parking lot to be used as a kids jungle jim. Lol! Its good to see history brought back to working order. So much better than seeing just a shell sitting on display.
I suspect it could go faster in a straight line, the straights are very short in the Tank Museum arena, but on anything other than flat terrain the risk of toppling over at any speed must be enormous.
@@andrewd666 I doubt it could carry that battleship gun faster than an actual battleship could:] This is from the era of the British land forces, in which tank strategy was dictated by the navy :] Slowly forwards, reverse in non battle situations only:]
@@pivkaaano it wasn’t. This the 50s. The Centurion was in full production as was the conqueror and the Chieftain wasn’t too far away either Tanks have moved far beyond the Churchill at this point. Also according to the Tank Museum the top speed of the 4005 is 21mph (31kph).
Well done, Mr. Hewes!!
+ team!
@@richt247 don't forget Ted
The bane of tier ten. I didn't know one of these still existed, let alone ran. It's amazing to witness.
Wow what a monster gun and turret. Really has a commanding presence. Well done to the whole team indeed and great seeing it running.
Brilliant well done lads
great job Mr Hewes

Great work Jack and Seb. And well done do the young bloke driving who needs a hair cut and a Thatchers Haze.
The scale is amazingly absurd when you see people in it.
I can see me and my family in the crowd ❤ very Nice video

the beauties that put on the move... now we are waiting for you to do the same with jagtigr, elephant, and royal tigers
I LOVE 183mm
That is the actual top speed of the vehicle:]

@@jk844100 Well they are doing at least 25 kph in the vid..
@@pivkaaa no they’re not. They’re moving at jogging pace which is like 8-10kph.
Probably end up becoming like the Tortoise tank, restored ran once then put in the museum
I'm certainly interested in what they are going to do with it; I hope at least it is put on display, not gathering dust in the conservation centre.
Most of the vehicles at Bovington get their fair share of driving usually at the annual tankfest
Вот это динозавр...эпохи ,холодной войны,....😢😂
