Thank you for teaching this in a way that is simple and straight forward. Doing school work during quarantine has been difficult, but your video helped clear this subject up for me.
Thank you for making it extremely clear and easy to understand. I like how you drew the triangle larger out to the side so that you could focus on it more. That really lets you solve one problem and then just plug it into the equation to find the area.
Mr.Mario Thank you so much for the regular uploads... The way you teach the concepts is interesting... Please upload for permutations and combinations too..

Amazing teacher!!! I’ve been sitting here struggling trying to figure out one these problems on my homework so I went to TH-cam and this video pops up, I followed your steps just with my work and I GOT ITTT!!❤
Hi Mario! Geometry teacher here. If your students know the formula for the area of a triangle given 2 sides and an included angle (1/2 b*c*SinA), it's a huge shortcut in this method. You would no longer need to solve for the side length and apothem. Instead, you can treat the radius as both b and c, and the central angle as A. So you get 1/2 * (r^2)*Sin(360/n) * n.
Thanks for the comment Ben. In the school district where I tutor students learn that formula you mentioned in algebra 2 which is after they take geometry which is why I didn’t mention it in the video. Thanks for mentioning it!
please reply fast. we know how to use the formula A=ap/2 but is there another formula which is A=1/2nr(square)sin(360/n). any one who can prove this form the base formula, please help me
Does this work with any regular polygon? I tried doing this method with a square with a radius of 16, but I didn't get any of the answer choices that were given.
Adriana, yes if it’s a regular polygon it works. Here is another video I did that will show you some more examples: Find the Area of Regular Polygons th-cam.com/video/z50C1b2sO5M/w-d-xo.html
It should be noted that using the sin(36) is kind of a shortcut. If you wanted to do it the way the ancient Greeks did it, the process would be much different.
Well according to my calculations after inscribing a square in the Earth and doing the calculations. I figured the Cosine of the ASINE data over the pre-intangible side length the answer I got was 9.283. This number times Einstein's constant number of relative frequency gives us the answer of the side circle length. Good luck on your final!

Geometry test today- these two minutes taught me the concept far better than an hour and a half of class time ever could. Thank you, my man!
You’re welcome Noah!

If only I had watched this before I took my test(which I failed), luckily I can do corrections for it so thanks to this I can hopefully pass.
You legend THANK YOU!!!
Nice vid i just start watching all geometry videos for my final!
Glad you liked the video! And glad my other geometry videos are helping you plan for your final!
Thank you Mario! Was just refreshing to teach to my students. Very, very helpful.

@@MariosMathTutoring how about pentagon out of circle ?
Took me like a week of thinking to figure out the area of a regular polygon.
my savior thank you
just paid 100 for a math tutor and now im on TH-cam cause I still dont understand shit for my test tomorrow
Omg tysm!!helped me a lot
I have a test tomorrow thank you
My teacher was doing witch craft thanks for the help short and simple
what grade are you supposed to learn this in?
It's more subject (Geometry) than grade. Most students take it in 9th or 10th grade.
Thank you.
Thank you so much, I have been struggling with this and I got an A on my test since I finally understood.
Awesome! Great job on the A!
Glad my video helped you!
how to use this formula in excel?
how did u get the 9?
I should really start watching these videos cause it be making me understand more than my geometry class 😂

What if it a radical
Where did you get the nine from
Edit: never mind I thought the a was a nine
How much thank you hiden the radius😍😍😓😓
There is a much facile course of action into completing the problem.
It should be noted that using the sin(36) is kind of a shortcut. If you wanted to do it the way the ancient Greeks did it, the process would be much different.
Yeah, but what is the percentage of the pentagon inside the circle?... Meaning, exactly what percentage does the pentagon take up inside the circle ?
Why is a math video at 4k ultra HD 2,000 fps
could you not just do sin rule (area) because you have all the necessary information needed and it is a lot quicker
