My (major) insurer had never heard of Embassy. So they won't quote insurance on one without a full inspection, just like a home built conversion. Embassy might want to reach out to major insurers and make themselves, and the quality of their product, known.
License plates are important! With RV plates, your insurance rate is based on how many nights you will be away from home each year. And an AV may include coverage for your personal property. Big difference. ALSO you can split a bottle of wine over dinner in a parked RV, but with regular plates, you will be busted for having an open container and drunk driving. Check with your insurer and DMV.
Hi Scott. Thanks for hosting the great video. Do you know if the Cape Cod will have similar HOA-friendly stealthy attributes also, such as mini-split AC? Still using the Embassy-proprietary vents, with no holes in the roof? Solar (or no solar) options?
Please consider live or closed captioning for the vids. Great to watch but easier for those of us who can't turn on the sound/don't have the best speakers/harder of hearing. TY!
Announcing the Embassy Igloo: with an escape htch in the floor, which be opened to allow for ice fishing from the comfort of your van. Come on, Terry. Show him the secret prototype!
Mercedes has a bulletin out, regarding premature catalyst failures on diesel engines. Apparently extended idle times, which might be from battery charging, will not heat the converter sufficiently and it will clog and fail. FWIW. 1,000 rpm is much closer to idle than cruising speeds. Obviously not an issue on gas engines, but possibly Mastervolt needs to consider a high high idle for diesels.
@@PaulMerucci-us5pu I've never tried it 😁 ; seems like it would be great for stop and go traffic especially after the infrastructure $ hit and road repair becomes ubiquitous! Love regular cruise for the roughly 7500 a year highway miles we drive visiting the grands!
Regency RV in Fort Worth Texas filed for bankruptcy. Embassy RV out of Elkhart IN is very much in business and delivering vans every week to customers.

Where the Cape Cod will debut in February 2023
👍👍👍👍
Thanks gentlemen
I thought the orange colour would look nice! It leans earthy burnt orange - not a ‘glary’ colour.
right on

got it
No adaptive speed control, I'm out!
Thx Don. IMHO, that “feature” is overrated
I don't like adaptive cruise
