I was born in 1972 so I came up with these guys during High School. I always thought Mike D was the one that I would enjoyed conversing with the most. And as time has gone on, it has only been confirmed for me that he's pretty much a genius with a good sense of humor. Like me!😉
I love the 90s constantly high AF Adrock so much 😂😂😂 I love the cranky curmudgeon he’s turned into but 😂😂 today’s kids will never know how awesome these guys were
My homies! We're all the same age and New Yorkers. And we all can freak the funk! The only problem that I have with their gear is that they need to iron and starch their shit. It makes a huge difference if you want to look fly! That's a Black and Latino thing though.
@kyfaydfsoab My guess is you're a white dude like the Beastie Boys! But don't forget this fact! The Beastie Boys copied their style and gear from Black and some Latino people. Black people first and foremost created Hip-hop culture, music, and style first! The Beastie Boys were punk rockers. White rock musicians wouldn't know anything about looking fresh! Even the white Jazz musicians, copied their styles, from the slick Black jazz musicians that created the music. The rockabilly cats like Elvis also copied the blues cats. So believe me, Dickies and Ben Davis gear were meant to be ironed and starched, with razor-sharp creases. T-shirts were meant to be worn the same way. We're about looking fly in the streets!
My dad is Puertorican. My mom is from Spain. I was born and bred in Morningside Heights. In the 90’s I had no time to iron or starch any shit. I needed to be out the door quick to skate at Riverside Park.
@Club Astro Transcendental Motor You must be under 40 years old. And if you're not, you just didn't look as fly as the Black dudes that were responsible for creating the culture homie!
@@zroy9263 44 this past January. I just didn’t care about looking “fly”. Neither do most girls if you got your shit together and they can have fun chilling with you and your crew which was made of all sorts of kids. Dominicans, black, white, Cuban, Boricuas… Just hanging out. Going to parties, smoking crap weed, hooking up w girls, skating, making music just to fuck around, just whatever. Good memories.
ilikethingsfromjapan..... I'm not going to flame you, but the twin towers were attacked on September 11, 2001. This video was recorded in 1992 which would be 9 years after this video was recorded.... You a Millennial?
I love it when Mike D starts explaining things.
