Don’t understand the hate. There’s not a chance I would have done a public interview at his age, remembering what I was like. My stomach was turning for a mock uni interview haha. He plays darts, not a big time sport that you get media trained in. Bit boring and they did have to carry him, but he is only, literally a child.

Hes a 16-17 year old lad who's all of a sudden wanted by everyone in the media because he's a great young player. I imagine he just needs some time to find himself he's still a minor so
Give him time. Most people at his age is like this, not knowing how to be in an interview and lots of awkward silence. People are used to see TH-camrs and famous people that are used to their fame and have been in a lot of public/interviews settings, so those people know how to "fill the silence" and start to talk immediately with lots of random stuff until they reach the answer. Luke just got here. You can bet in a couple of years he will be far more comfortable in these situations and people will say "oh he talks too much", "oh now he never shuts up, I liked the other Luke much more" or just simply hating because he's now confident and know how to do a "proper" interview answer.
It reminds me of that Sidemen video where they transformed rooms of two subscribers. One was fairly introverted, pretty much like Luke. The other was much more extroverted and talkative, always making jokes and such. Guess which one was already doing TH-cam videos and such? Yeah, the guy that was very talkative - because he was used to it. The other wasn't, so he was shy when faced with cameras and attention.

This media obsession needs to stop though let's be honest. They're dragging this kid to relevance when he can't even have a full on conversation or socialise with anyone. Every video I've seen of him on different podcasts, channels, shows etc. he barely says a word. Just let the kid be 17, and treat him the same as all the other darts players with the odd media appearance here and there. His management will destroy the poor bastard.

Kids clearly quite introverted when not on the oche. He was clearly born to play darts and entertains the fans with his game but clearly hes not as comfortable with the fame culture that comes with it his notoriety .
