I've never been the biggest fan of Diezel amps in general, I'm hooked on that lead tone you got! Smooth and crisp in just the right amount! Once again, killer video! \m/
Website is being updated with 2013 specs. Please check our pricelist and FB page. That guitar is Leon with Zebrawood top option and dark blue blackburst finish. When you send e mail, you talk with me = owner of the company.
For one, no matter how tight your playing is, you'll always be a microsecond out. Also, your pitch will vary by the tiniest amount due to the strings slowly detuning at different rates, slightly harder or softer picking or frettind also makes a difference!
There's actually ways you can duplicate one track and make it sound stereo. One method is to slightly offset the copy so your ears perceive the same track at two different times (very close together so it sounds like one guitar). Also, you can slightly detune the copy and it'll make it sound just different enough so that you can clearly hear both tracks. It can be done!
the diezel d-moll, the randall/fortin natas and the randall thrasher are 3 different animals. the tone is similar because of the same setup of cabinet and mic. the d-moll is a very full sounding amp, the thrasher is very tight and raq, the satan is a smooth metal beast. i would have nothing against about owning one ore all three of these animals but i think their kemper profile would be just fine for me and my kemper :P
Well...when I´m recording my D-Moll and I´m using my Ibanez RGD7421 with DiMarzio D-Activator Pickups in Drop A, I actually have to turn back the bass at about 10 o´clock because otherwise it´s too much! So don´t worry; this amp´s bass is devastating!^^
i personally like refeared more it just sounds more sorta happy trust me the music will still make you wanna break things but its just less dark but its still sounds raw as hell
lolz ... yeah didnt really read what he said, thought he was asking about the new one. for the first album I am pretty sure he used mesa boogie dual rec.
Ola, I got myself a Diezel Dmoll with matching 412 front loaded cabinet and cannot achieve that monster gain and attack on the settings you use in the video (you´re using channel 3 with gain at 10 oclock). I hardly achieve that with my gain at 3 oclock or more. Using Ibanez RG prestige with EMG81. Amp still sounds monstruous at high volume but cannot achieve that tone with your settings at all, especially at low volumes. Have you enhanced the signal?Would you be able to help?thanks!
Sorry for responding so late, I was very busy the last two weeks^^ I´d definitely say NO, because the Savage (I´ve never played the Invader) is the only amp in this price range, that is a match for the D-Moll! Personally I love both amps, but I bought the D-Moll because it has only 100W. You can´t really get a good tube saturation out of the Savage without cranking it up ridiculously high, which isn´t possible if you´re miking it (on stage or so). But I´ll definitely buy the Savage one day!
Hey Ola! Awesome vid! Can you tell us which speakers were in the cab? I can see that it's a Frontloaded, but I'd love to know if it were V30s or K100s in there.
Hi!! I ask you, that you are the god of tests of amps.... Do you prefer a real amps with valves or a kind of machine like Kemper profile or AXE FX II.(For studio and live). Thank you for the response.
great as always. How does it compare with the einstein in the room? I think that with the einstein it was far better as far as sound captured for that nevermore cover.
Ola, what is your opinion on Schecter? I'm looking into getting a Damien Elite 7 FR and I'm really trying to get a tone very similar to yours. The pickups in it are EMG Active 81-7/85-7.
I would go for a mackie blackjack or a apogee one, there was a comparison on ultimatemetal were most agreed the mackie sounded better. Plus its cheaper.
sounds awesome! I'm a huge fan of feared, it always has awesome groove. When you're recording your guitar tracks for the songs, do you do 2 rhythm tracks on each side, or only one?
I want to start recording my playing sessions with audio quality this good, what kind of Apogee should I start out with? I have a Mac so Apogee will work.
Still playing S7G, just demoing other guitars! I've got an awesome S7G with true temperament and Evertune coming up in a couple of weeks. SWEEET!
this solo is a masterpiece of tone and technique. It's the perfect example of "less is more"
One of the more tasteful solo's I've heard in a while, nice work.
one on each side, thanks buddy!
Definitely Furor!
Great playing...love the tune.
Nice to see someone still using tubes here
That Diezel sounds really good, really liking the mids and low basses...
I've never been the biggest fan of Diezel amps in general, I'm hooked on that lead tone you got! Smooth and crisp in just the right amount! Once again, killer video! \m/
i love my Diezel-box (4x12").....realy great thing for metal...im playing an "ENGL Thunder50" with this...and an ts9-mini...realy brutal sound 😄
I think this is one of the few with best tones among all your videos. Diezels, despite price tag is too "radioactive", really are hard to beat.
That's just ferocious tone right here. Some of the best I've heard from this channel.
Sound really nice, and this Blackat !
Awesome video Ola !
V30 in this cab!
You're videos playing are one of the few things making writing my 10 page Research paper tolerable. Thaaaannnnk yooouuuuuu....!
Dein Video zu dem Amp is echt Gut . Lang , ausführlich , viel erklärt , viel gespielt , wie es sein muss !
That solo sounded perfect. Great vid!
My favorite Feared song right now
Damn. I love the tone and guitar
Excellent work. Great music.
I LOVE the growl on this.
I love it how you play these Riffs with just one Hand :D
Once again Ola melted my face! Great job bro! \m/
Good playing , sound . tunes !!
このアンプ、私も愛用してますが
豊かな中域、ジューシーな歪みが
大好きです❗(^_^)v🎵

S7 with TT and Evertune sounds absolutely perfect. Do want. Really do want. Really really do want.
Now that's an incredible amp!
who's here from the Wampler video ?
For one, no matter how tight your playing is, you'll always be a microsecond out. Also, your pitch will vary by the tiniest amount due to the strings slowly detuning at different rates, slightly harder or softer picking or frettind also makes a difference!
You write amazing (easy looking) riffs, but you also have a great sense of melody in your lead playing.
nice sounding amp, sweet playing!
That's one nice sounding Amp :) Thanks Ola
Do you record with the same amp settings and mic position for each side?
Love your videos btw!
That guitar is fucking sick. Love the finish. Diezel makes unreal amps too.
Cool stuff
Great solo, man! Starting to remind me of the OPETH aesthetic!
Yes that also works! More dynamic range when you use 2 takes tho. Both work great!
my fav song from the album oh and DAT BLACKAT!

Ola once again shows us that you can get the same tone with any amp

@BigMagnumims Peavey 6505, engl Powerball or savage, bogner uberschall, or EvH 5150 iii. There is a start without hitting the $4000.00 mark
I love this Song!!!!
My favourite tone so far... Oh, and the ring is back, hahaha...
Well...when I´m recording my D-Moll and I´m using my Ibanez RGD7421 with DiMarzio D-Activator Pickups in Drop A, I actually have to turn back the bass at about 10 o´clock because otherwise it´s too much!

Dude that solo was super tasteful! I think I am gonna "diet" for six months and go Hagen, but this is pretty wicked right here!
The vocals also said "I'm killing you" when it showed the picture. I don't know but might be a connection. Either way the amp sounds great.
i personally like refeared more it just sounds more sorta happy trust me the music will still make you wanna break things but its just less dark but its still sounds raw as hell
WTF with last pic? A brutal job man! cheers!
Awesome tune!! ...and that Blackcat is fucking beautiful..WOW!!!!
cool inlay like wolf or pantera or something like that
OLA! Please do some cabinet comparisons!! For any amp! PLEASE
Hey Ola, have you ever considered doing a cabinet shootout with the same amp head and settings etc. It might be a cool idea
NO, it's already recorded DI, and then reamped. that's why he can dial the knobs.
lolz ... yeah didnt really read what he said, thought he was asking about the new one. for the first album I am pretty sure he used mesa boogie dual rec.
I've always been a Action Quake kinda guy...
In my opinion a very good riff!
Sounds cool Awesome video
Haha, no matter what you twist on that Diezel it's always badass!
EPIC

Did you figure this out Paulo?
Sorry for responding so late, I was very busy the last two weeks^^

Cooking epic sound
awesome.
Ola, is your JB tribute band Biebered's CD coming out anytime soon? I'm aching to hear 'Baby' reimagined on a 7-string!
If nothing has changed it's his own Ola Englund's signature Solar guitar.
Hey Ola! you are amwesome. Can I use this amp for hard rock to?
The main riff reminds me of Transparent by In Flames.
nice Video editing too!
dat inlay... love the song btw
Ola, what is your opinion on Schecter? I'm looking into getting a Damien Elite 7 FR and I'm really trying to get a tone very similar to yours. The pickups in it are EMG Active 81-7/85-7.
ive been curious why that happens. two different takes two sounds, you'd figure it would e the same? do you know why that happens?
go to the blackat guitars website and order one!
sounds great! keep the good shit coming \m/
You should do 5.1 surround sound metal!
Does anyone know what tuning Ola is using? That would be the most helpful thing in the world right now.
What's guitar.?
I would go for a mackie blackjack or a apogee one, there was a comparison on ultimatemetal were most agreed the mackie sounded better. Plus its cheaper.
That solo had so much cheese, there's none left for my sandwich. Great song man haha
sick inlay man!
sounds awesome! I'm a huge fan of feared, it always has awesome groove. When you're recording your guitar tracks for the songs, do you do 2 rhythm tracks on each side, or only one?
sounds genuinely brutal.
how can u buy blackat guitars in USA
I wanna make a religion where you're gonna be the messiah. Keep it brutal dude, you sound huge as usual!
Dat moment when two of my favorite guitarists commented on a video of another super guitarist.
Ola! should i put my 3D glasses to watch the intro?
@Ola which settings did you use on channel 2 for that biig metal rhythm chug chug?
I think you could make a crate combo amp sound good.
Ibanez body, Caparison headstock, Jack Wolfskin position marker. Is there anything original on this guitar?
The amp rips btw.
does anyone know what tuning is used for this song?
I want to start recording my playing sessions with audio quality this good, what kind of Apogee should I start out with? I have a Mac so Apogee will work.
Ola,plz try Egnater Rebel 20(30).
I was wondering is that the front loaded K100 cab or the rear loaded V30 cab?
No man, I have one, and it's got PLENTY of bass... I guess that's just the way Ola likes to record..
Before the randall satan, his main amp was an ENGL Savage 60, so I would assume he used that
Mmm! Nothing like brutz for breakfast! Sounds delicious!
Did detect some Scar Symmetry influence in that solo?
in this video the tuning is drop A, but in the dual recto video he uses drop D
Sweet.
