Maya is a little bit hypocrite but whenever she scolds Monisha, she had every reason to do so. But that's the beauty of the show. It portrayed both high class society and middle class society in a very legitimate sarcastic manner. Nothing can beat this show.
I wish the director, writer and all the team come together with same concept sarcastic show, the acting and comedy is so pure and funny lol I still laugh at these jokes after years 🤣
I use to enjoy monisha' s character but now its so irritating. I feel like they showed an exaggeration of middle class people . I mean sure we do bargain or wait for sales and all but we are not irresponsible or untidy like monisha. Monisha is lucky that everyone tolerates her. Sad part is monisha is self aware about her habits but doesn't try to change it. I was happy when they announced season 2 but because of monisha's character it was difficult to watch . When i watched the show for the first time i wanted to be like monisha a fun and bubbly girl but now i like maya i waana be like her who knows how to keep a balance between her work and her home.

mother in laws like Maya are what are needed the most. No your daughter in law cant be your daughter but doesnt mean you disrespect and abuse her. she taunts her dil because they have polar personalities but doesnt tolerate either her husband or her son disrespecting Monisha, same goes for Monisha, she is fed up of the taunts but never speaks ill of her mother in law. its really impressive how indravadan and maya handle the situation and talk to both without piting them against each other, most indian in laws (eg my mom's) would seek this as a golden opportunity and talk nonsense about the dil to the son and create a wedge.
