Thank you! I hope you enjoyed Erinsville as much as the video! Next time, stop by nearby Tamworth too: th-cam.com/video/r7IkAA3Lnd0/w-d-xo.html

This is a really nice aerial tour of the Erinsville! I like how you integrated historic photos of each location. I feel like this would make a great series in different small towns across Ontario. (Lanark, Perth, Burnstown, etc.)

An oldie but goodie! Such a series would be amazing, Samphe! Here's one I made of nearby Tamworth....I need to watch this one every once in a while just to see unmasked smiles!!! th-cam.com/video/r7IkAA3Lnd0/w-d-xo.html

Nice aerial tour of a place I would like to visit. My grand parents family are from that area. My grandfather immigrated to Rochester to work for Kodak

Thank you, Maureen! The Erinsville and Tamworth area is full of wonderful, friendly people...so you come from good stock!! Hope you are able to visit the lake one day!

This is a beautiful town judging by the video. I have a job opportunity there and I'm curious about the rental situation. It's hard to find anything from what I've seen so far.

Yes it is a lovely village! To find rental accommodation, I'd recommend you contact Robert Storring, a local real estate agent. I'm sure he can connect you with some rental options. Mention my name.

My Father's family lived on a farm at the end of Donohue Rd. Currently, Gary Donohue, the Murphy's, ways and Kennedy's still live and farm there. Perhaps an arial view of that area describing what was required to live in the early 1900's by those song and resilient people? Thanks, this was great!

Cool, sounds good Don, We have a camp at 761 Donohue Rd and I'll be up there the first week of Nov, if you get a free day and would like to stop in we can chat about the history of those family farms and you'd be welcome to set up in our field by the road to make your drone flight. I've been exploring the 200 acres at that property for years and making a mental picture of the landscape, but a drone arial view would be incredible to see and save for reference.

Is this the town that is the only Gaelteacht in North America?

Hi Eleanor! Yes..sort of..I think nearby Tamworth may actually claim that credit but both villages have very deep Irish roots and are part of the same friendly community!

Thank you Don Joyce (famous Irish name indeed). I’d love to spend some time up there. The Gaeltachts in Ireland are a wee bit far. Where can I find info about classes, summer courses etc. if there are any. You may be a private citizen and not official in any way but I’d appreciate any contacts you may have.

@@eleanorchapple8772 Hello again. I'm not associated with the Gaeltacht, but I was able to find their webpage which seems to be fairly up to date and includes contact information: www.gaeilge.ca/ BTW, I did stop by the location years ago...it is not far outside Tamworth.
