yes, but with platforms like this, these things are rediscovered all the time, now, it may not be a whole lot of people, but that also has to do with the standards of the era listening, you see i used to not be interested in music like this despite being raised on this kind of music, it wasn't until much later in my life that i started to really appreciated it, i'm 37 by the way. right now i'm doing an mass listening of music of the past as much as possible, funny thing the one thing that got me into listening to this kind of music is playing a video game called fallout 4, the game already comes with some music like this, but after a while you get sick of listening to the same songs, so now i'm out here on the internet discovering all kinds of wonderful music, that i simply at the time wasn't interested in listening to, but now i crave it like no other and i have been enjoying it while i play my game, it's very relaxing and it just makes the games stories unfold with a better score.
I think more people would listen to better music,if it were offered on the radio yet. Sadly, i used to be huge country music lover, and still like a lot of the older stuff, but i can't stand any of the newer cw music, or pop, or rap. No melodies,or real singing. We ar ein a new dark age. I dont like Taylor Swift either. She is good looking, and talented, but is nowlike a sex goddess, too, and fame and fortune ruins many people, The only music i buy, are old old record albums or tapes.@@5226-p1e

Indeed....'most' of the greatest moments ....sure there are some more....THANKS for the beautiful compilation here itself...I loved every moment of it...and the gramophone player kept reminding me of those wonderful 60s-70s....started with an HMV Fiesta mono-player Dad brought on 12 monthly-instalments of Rs25each in 1968...I still have our first eleven 45rpm and 18 of the 78rpms the family's music-library started with that year .... THANKS once again from a Lower-Himalayan beautiful town of North India dotted with umpteen mountain-rivers picnic spots I grew up far from the madding crowds of the day .

At the ripe young age of 89, the Mantovanis, Glen Millers, Benny Goodmans, Guy Lombardos, and occasional Lawrence Welks etc. I and my family enjoyed listening to these maestros of music and totally enjoying them. In recent years music has become nothing but noise in most cases. I am proud to be a full red-blooded American raised in the Greatest Generation. And, yes, I was a Marine in the Korean War, don't need to use dirty words to make my points, and thoroughly enjoy the company of others viz-a-viz face-to-face conversations sans a hand-held telephone. When i was at school in the 1950, my mum worked at tailoring caneen when school enderd at 4.30 I would go to meet her at her works and at that time Mantovarni was playing on the radio BBC every day I think that is why i love Mantovani. I am 79 years old now still love it .
In the 60’s just after high school I learned to appreciate Mantovani and own quite a few of his 33 albums. His orchestra is tops in my opinion! I just wish a TV channel or Radio would play this type of music. Raised on a farm, country was more popular, then along came the rock n roll era which the music then just didn’t appeal to me, but I grew to appreciate the biggies later in life. Even now at 82, I appreciate most any type of good music, classical included! Thank you for this!
La primera vez que escuché a la orquesta de Annunzio Paolo Mantovani, fue en 1959, cuando mi padre compró un mueble que tenía aparte de la televisión un tocadiscos, y entre los primeros discos que hubo en casa, estuvo un Long Play de Mantovani que en la portada tenía una mujer recostada en el campo con un vestido floreado y un sombrero para el sol, y la primer melodía que cautivó mi sentido musical fue El Amor es una cosa Esplendorosa, han transcurrido 64 ciclos de mi vida, y sigo disfrutando su música.
