    The Registry Office on Pocklingtons Walk..then on to the Fairfield Pub on the Estate of same name in Wigston.

    Just found this video. I used to live right across the road from this pub"The Fairfield" at the time of this video. Flippin fantastic

      Tony Wilson? I reckon I used to go to SWHS & play rugby in the school team with you. I was there between 1976 & 1979 :-)

    That was the posh estate. We used go to the park. I remember going up from the monsell to play on the slide there. And nicking the waxed paper bread wrapper to sit on going down the slide

    At 01:55: A very brief glimpse of an awning advertising (Everards) Sabre Lager. It was absolutely disgusting. When the Rutland & Derby switched to it around 1973, I switched to Gold Label Barley Wine! (Everards bitter was equally foul!)

    Great video. I’m originally from Leicester but have lived in America for quite some time now. I couldn’t quite workout which area it is. Looks a bit like Netherhall, or maybe New parks ?

      It’s Gloucester crescent if that helps!the Fairfield estate! Hence the Fairfield . everards pub.
