Beautiful scenes of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland......But Donegal and the North Antrim Coast of Ireland are equally beautiful............as an Englishman married to a Northern Irish woman..I LOVE both areas with a passion. They are MUST sees in everyone's lifetime!(The folks are far more friendly than recent history may make you think!)

There are few places on this earth more beautiful than the British Isles. Awesome song, too.

Is there a word in English, for when you are kind of sad and melancholy, and reminiscing, but are quietly and deeply satisfied and content in it? Almost happy in your lonely sadness? Kind of like when you are alone in a wild place, or an old graveyard on a rainy day. This song makes me fell like this. Pensive is close.. but not quite there...

as a fun fact, the title means 'braveheart' and was written to appear in the movie, but didnt. i dont think it would've fit, but its a wonderful song regardless.

The songs name is actually Braceheart, I found the song because they wanted to use it in the movie braceheart! I think it would be a really nice one but it did not make the cut :(

Ohón óró fheiliró agus óchón oícheán óchán óchán oícheán fheiliró, fheiliró
Fuair rí na hAltana, Bás I ndairíre, Gan olc ar a tsaol seo.
Tháinig fear as a deisceart, Bhí Éamonn a shuí linn, Olc fada na crualach.
Chreid an slua, Breis agus ísleacht,
Bhí dearmad air choíche, Radharc na héin, Seo finnscéal.
    (background chanting chorus)
Ohón óró fheiliró agus óchón oícheán óchán óchán oícheán fheiliró, fheiliró.
Déag an rí, Gan olc ar a’ tsaol seo, Bhí n’teideal ag Éamonn.
    (background chanting)
    Ohón fheiliró óchón.
Throid na hAltnaí, Daoine is Tiarnaí, Eatarthú féin.
    (Background chanting)
    Ohón fheiliró óchón.
Cuireadh go sciobail, A adhaigh sa s’cogaidh, Coireadh gan adhmad, Coireadh gan dóigh.
Crochadh tríocha, Tríocha gan uaisleacht, Agus buachaillín a bhí óg, Croí Cróga, Finnscéal Beo.
    Ohón fheiliró óchón.
D’fháiscigh an mhaorgacht, Ó bliain na hAltana, Sé mbliain a bhí cróga, cróga gan dóigh.
Shuí ar a lá seo, comh cnéasta le coighleách, Scairt sí a shaoirse, Fadó bhí Cróga, Croí cróga.
    (background chanting)
Ohón óró fheiliró agus óchón oícheán óchán óchán oícheán fheiliró, fheiliró.
Fuair rí na haltana bás I ndairíre, gan olc ar a tsaol seo, tháinig fear as a deisceart, Bhí Éamonn a shuí linn, Olc fada na crualach.
Cuireadh go sciobail, A adhaigh sa s’cogaidh, Coireadh gan adhmad, Coireadh gan dóigh.
Crochadh tríocha, Tríocha gan uaisleacht, Agus buachaillín a bhí óg, Croí Cróga, Finnscéal Beo.
    (background chanting)
Óró feiliró, agus óró fheiliro, agus óró fhileiró agus óró oícheán x5

If I didn't know this was Celtic music I would have thought this song was Native American related.

Moondance - It's Scotland..The Highlands and Western Isles. But also see Donegal (from whence Clannad come) and the North Antrim Coast too.....Mere film cannot do any of it justice. It has to be experianced!

@moondance1981 This are pictures of Scotland that I found on-line. I thought Scotland was appropriate, given what the song was originally to be used for.
