Sadly Lego Digital Designer doesn't have some of the pieces needed to create this weapon, hence why you need to replace the orange pieces with the 2x1 bush thingy. Anyways, Merry Christmas and have a great holiday!

I built it and it’s amazing. I also made some modifications so that it folds to only be 5 studs wide

I made and i t worked great :D
I have just finished the crossbow and it works great! However, after you shoot the first bullet and the second bullet comes up, it comes up before the rubberband/slingshot and jams the mechanism hard. This is because the 1 by 5 technic beam covering the magazine gets pulled back after the first bullet is fired and stays back so that the next bullet comes up quickly. The only solution to this is to manually push it back into position and doesn't seem to cause any problems
ahh, I know how to fix that.
Please note that there is a high chance that the the 5x1 beam may be stuck because of the strength of you rubber-band. If it is to strong the rubber band will cause the beam to have a lot of friction, therefore making it get stuck back. I hope I helped :)

since this is a larger build, can you link a list of all the parts needed in the description please? Just in case I don't start building it and realize I can't continue cause I'm missing one or two parts. It is pretty complex

How exactly do i wrap it round the spare hub
it's largely experimental. I would recommend twisting it, then wrapping it over itself before doing it the the spare hub; like you would usually do when using rubber bands to things together :)
Still Thinking ok will try that and also in the video you hook it on to one hub then wrap it round the next would you recommend that

You can substitute the spring for any assembly that is of the same length as the spring.
IT is cool however i like Kevin 183’s guns better
