U mean, 2nd ML is yuwen yong? I have watch previous eps. I kinda confuse with the faces back then. But from what i can understand, yuwen yong leave her first. I forgot the reason, but it something along to protect her. The empress sister also disagree with yuwen yong and arrange marriage with this general without the general consent (just his family consent) bcs his father is loyal friend of their father who is accused of treason at that time. When she marry him, he is faraway and doesnt even know abt the marriage. Thus the girl marry with a stand in. The stand in is yuwen yong (he used mask), just a ceremony to complete the promise abt drinking marriage wine. Fl doesnt know that the stand in is him. At that time, general still sworn to love only mantuo. So i cant blame the general. In fact, after watch this part, i feel that he is nice person. He is not stupid, but he is more the type of upright morality guy that not into scheming. He is kind. But i havent watch full early eps too, so i dont exactly know what he did to fl. I just know he is angry but cant refuse due to fl situation when he found out he was married (he know abt the marriage days after, or probably weeks, but the point is, the marriage is without his knowledge and his consent)
@@DottieDott Just the ML is susceptible to the evil schemes of the evil sister....even the assistants are able to understand, cant he understand and stay away.....being kind should not be equal to being stupid...and he simply says - his wife too sensitive...If his wife spoon feeds his brother, will he be similing and accepting....stupid males...

So he is indeed stupid when it comes to love...and blind too (since he refuse to see the truth many times). I just glad that he does not seem to abuse fl with flogging or whipping or slapping. Also does not seem to degrading fl from the part i saw (i admit i didnt watch fully, just jump skip, i cant stand a full drama with many eps like this)

It feels like they're afraid of smart characters in these dramas. There seems to be this idea that for someone to be good they have to be so naive and innocent but they honestly are going to have a hard life. There seems to be an obsession with pitiability and it's icky to me
