Stephen Colbert was very moved during the interview and you could see it in his face. It was more like a heart to heart between two men than a discussion with a political leader who was second in command of a large country like ours. The fundamental expression of decency and hope and moving on despite grief is so well done, I think this is one of the best interviews Colbert did.

I was lucky enough to meet now-President-elect Biden for a few brief moments in April of 2016 during an event he spoke at, on UPitt campus. It was certainly humbling and striking to share a couple moments (and a photo) with him, but what struck me most is how he genuinely connected with me, like I was the only other person in the world with him in that moment. Then, as a young, gay, visually disabled individual just about to graduate college, it was an extremely special and powerful moment. and it remains so to this day, knowing that that level of humility and charisma helped make Joe Biden our next President. Congrats to you and Kamala. Thank goodness, integrity and character and history are back in the White House.

There are plenty of valid arguments against Trump, vulgarity being responded to with vulgarity isn't all that unreasonable. Facts don't work in political debates, they don't change any minds. This moved me to tears. No one can get everything right, but I believe Joe has a big heart that guides him, and he will lead our country with real compassion.
He is a lucky man in that he has family to share with and to learn from on a daily basis. They and their children are my greatest joy. I consider myself lucky, too. Just having them.

Stephen Colbert was very moved during the interview and you could see it in his face. It was more like a heart to heart between two men than a discussion with a political leader who was second in command of a large country like ours. The fundamental expression of decency and hope and moving on despite grief is so well done, I think this is one of the best interviews Colbert did.

I was lucky enough to meet now-President-elect Biden for a few brief moments in April of 2016 during an event he spoke at, on UPitt campus. It was certainly humbling and striking to share a couple moments (and a photo) with him, but what struck me most is how he genuinely connected with me, like I was the only other person in the world with him in that moment. Then, as a young, gay, visually disabled individual just about to graduate college, it was an extremely special and powerful moment. and it remains so to this day, knowing that that level of humility and charisma helped make Joe Biden our next President.
