James is so underrated as a singer. He is well known as an actor but he his so creative as an artist. His mind is so interesting and full of creativity that most Filipino is still not ready for, most of the time Filipinos still prefer ballads than the kind of genre he produced and sing but his whole album is so good! You definitely need to react to him more.

God I love James. He started as a big winner for the Filipino Big Brother back in 2010. They tried to make him famous but he didn't really felt like it, so he went back to Australia. After awhile he came back to the Philippines, and then that was the start of his career. He became a heartthrob in the Philippines around 2014-ish? He only really got interested into performing, especially singing, after 2010 when he won in PBB (Pinoy Big Brother).
He got signed into a company called Viva, he met this girl called Nadine Lustre (check her music too, she works with him under his label), and they became a love team (a tandem, pairing for romantic movies/shows), they were VERY big (we Filipinos LOOOOOOVE love-teams VERY MUCH, almost obsessively lol), so they sang OST's of their movies/shows and such and I think that's also when he really got into making more music.
Time travel to now, this is the type of music he's making, and I love it. Unfortunately, the kind of music he makes is very different from the type of music in the industry in the Philippines, like SB19, so it takes awhile for our own to recognize them... I've been a casual fan since early days probably as early as 2011-ish? And I'm really glad to see him grow to the kind of artist he is now. This song is such a bop and I'm glad you love it too! IT'S SOOOO GOOD! I wish a lot of people would stop sleeping on him!
James is so underrated! He deserves more recognition with his music. You should check out his Overpass live performances of Mandaue Nights, Soul Love and 16B. Soooo good! Please check out Healing, Right There, Don't You Forget and Filipina Girl as well. I swear James' songs and collabs, too, are all super good. Loved his Palm Dreams album a lot and everything he did after starting Careless PH.
