Wow - what a train! (Well-named "Panoramic"; love the large windows at the sides - and the extra ones in the ceiling.) Anyway... puts the ordinary - and overcrowded - UK trains to shame, I reckon. 1:09-1:30: Fascinating architecture! (What is the building called/what is its function?) Another thing I appreciate is the plane-like layout; it even has a screen at the front for in-transit entertainment! So - you met the famous Indonesian fashion-designer, Igun Gunawan, did you? You would have been in your element, Fina! (But did you buy any of his clothing designs?) 8:37- 9:29: I love the shirts: "Talk MORE DO MORE": a noble ambition. (In my experience, sadly, many people talk more... but do less!) Interesting mode of transportation at the end; a little less comfortable than the train, I would assume!
Hello Phil, The building that you saw near the beginning of the video is a mosque, the biggest mosque in West Java. The capacity of the mosque is 33,000 people. Fina didn’t get any of the clothing made by Ivan Gunawan, perhaps because it was a whistle stop visit to Yogyakarta. we stayed for only two nights. The becaks in Yogyakarta have now been updated. when we last visited they had to be peddled - now there is a motor but they still have the basic shape as before.
