  • Any time we have the pleasure to stay in a luxury accomodation, I try to give prospective travelers a full tour in order to know what to expect. Shangi-la in Boracay is one of the most luxurious and premium resort experiences we have been lucky enough to have. I hope you enjoy this luxury villa tour!

    ABOUT ME:
My name is Mike and i have been living in and traveling the Philippines since 2017. I started my journey in Cebu and quickly adopted the channel name 'Endless Mike Cebu'. Endless Mike is an old nickname of mine, and since i never plan to stop exploring the Philippines - this seemed like a proper name for the channel. My purpose is to travel to all 81 provinces to better connect with my adopted home. Sometimes I travel with my family, Aicy and Luna, and sometimes I travel solo. Either way, I always aim to share good vibes and learn more about Philippines while making friends along the way. Tara na!

Wow, lol. You're movin' on up (The Jeffersons). Tim K and Texas Filipino both stayed there not too long ago but your accommodation beats them all. Thanks for showing us what one of the villas at the very top of the hill looks like. And your parents are visiting. Enjoy your time with them.

I think I'm wrong about Texas Filipino (James and his wife Melinda) staying or visiting Shangri-La. I think they stayed at one of the Hennan resorts. I did watch Mr. Benj. @ Amazing Boracay and family celebrating an occasion at Shangri-La.

The Jeffersons was a bit before my time, but of course i know the reference well! We were so grateful to experience this level of luxury as it’s well outside our budget, but it definitely made for quality time spent with my parents. Thanks for checking out the villa tour, hope you enjoyed ✌️

…then moved right back down after a few days, haha. BUT.. we are grateful any time we can enjoy a luxurious experience or accommodation, and this was certainly a rare experience which is why i wanted to make sure to document the whole place

Hi Mike! I had a question for you if you don’t mind answering. I been following your journey and transition to moving from the US to the Philippines and been impressed ever sense. If possible to ask how do you generate income now that you permanently reside there? I ask this question because I’m still in the visiting phase when I go to the Philippines but have to come back to the US but quite frankly am tired of that.
If you could provide any advise if tips that helped you I would greatly appreciate it as well.

Hey there, thanks for following along. i certainly appreciate that. That's awesome you are moving to Philippines full time! Making money as a foreigner here is a tricky proposition. 100% of foreigners i've met that live here fit into 4 categories as far as income. 1) retired, collecting social security / pension 2) have a nice job at a multinational company that sent them here for a contracted period (this is the best option as they seem to have generous salaries similar to their home country) 3) vlogger / content creator / whatever - this is a grind and high unstable (i have NEVER collected a single peso from Adsense in 5.5 years and 203 videos 4) Start a business - this is a good option for those who can navigate the legal and administrative requirements. Need a trusted filipino parter. 5) work online - most young people you see living in southeast asia are or have been at some point an online english teacher. this is the category i occupy. It can be difficult and has very little growth potential, but i've made it work for 5.5 years. Good luck to you my friend!

@@EndlessMike_ thank you for prompt response Michael! By the looks of it 4 and 5 seem more fitting for myself? Do you work for a an employer based in the US as a teacher?

@@Cebufornia yes, it’s a U.S. based company (i think). Im honestly not sure. If you do a quick google search, you’ll see the top online language learning companies as well as reviews of each from teachers

@@EndlessMike_ if I may ask, so do you teach English to students from other countries outside of the Philippines? Also, what would be the job title I would be searching for when looking up these positions?
