- Hi all, welcome to my build of the Titanic the ship the legend.
In todays video we assemble the docking bridge and check the lighting for each deck, the AFT mast is added in stage 122 for my build.
Stage 122 we join the 3 decks together which is a difficult task and lastly we add decking to the Aft well deck along with a Led strip.
Please enjoy, like and share the video. Thanks for watching!

Hi John thanks for an a awesome video. I'm still struggling with my boat deck lol i found the peg on the underside of boat deck didn't line up ! also the little pegs along the promenade deck didn't line up so I'm still working on it. Thanks also for the wiring references. Its looking really nice. Can't wait for the poop deck issue 123 .take care 👍
You are welcome Rod, happy modelling. :)
Super john😊❤
Thank you! :)
Hi John. Fascinating watching 121 & 122, it certainly looks fiddly and no doubt a few murmered curse words were in tow, I'm not at this stage yet as you know being 4 behind, so a question for you John, if you can explain to me please, remember some time ago about the bridge deck being sort of curved, are you saying that when the three decks are screwed together that this straightens the bridge deck horizontally. I remember you asked Hachette about that, have i missed something? Because at moment my bridge deck is still like slightly banana shaped, not being screwed together.
Hope you understand what im saying John, as the three decks sit on top of metal hull centre part of bridge deck sits flush, but either end of bridge deck section sits a little bit above the hull at both ends.
Really good videos John, thank you mate, nice to have the early warnings 😊
Hi Phil, all 3 decks will sit flush with the hull. I did have issues with the brown posts at the AFT section as there are location points in the prom deck that don't always line up. At the forward end, 1 cable was moved to stop the upper decks from rocking, there was 2 screws I loosened also. As for the bent shape, it is normal to a degree, I covered this in a short video with a steel ruler. All the above is in my video, and obviously, the instructions. Have fun. 😀👍
@@JohnsModelmaking Thank you John, yes I knew there is a slight curvature, I think it was the immense size of the ship, apparently all large ships are the same, cheers for taking time out, your videos explained everything about screws and posts etc very nicely John.
I think after the ship is built John we may deserve a long cruise 😁
I think 2027 was when Titanic 2 maybe ready from what I was gleaning from the internet, we shall wait and see as there a lot of misinformation out there.
You take care.👍✅
I think I will give it a miss Phil, If it's built, for the maiden voyage anyway. 😊
@@JohnsModelmaking I fully agree John 🫢
I will watch your Batmobile 66 next, bit behind with everything at this time. Cheers 🍻
Had to glue the deck in exactly the same place
Thanks for watching! 😀
Arrive today that I'll doing it on weekend 😊
Have fun. 😊👍
Great video, John, as always. I do have a question: When you talk about PVA glue, is that like Elmer's glue? Thanks in advance.
Thanks. My Pva is wood glue as is Elmer's. 👍😊
@JohnsModelmaking Okay, thanks, that's what I thought
Hey John, can you please do me a favour and measure the overall hight incl. the stand to the top of the mast?
Approx 46cms.
Ive just finished 122 and Ive placed it onto the hull there seems to be slight warping in the decks and one side is higher then the other, It leaves a gap between the hull and the deck. Do you have the same problem, or any tips on how to try and fix it?
My decks fit in line with the hull. How does it sit off the hull? Does it warp or rock side to side? 👍
@@JohnsModelmaking The back side of the deck sits in line with the hull but in the front there is a 1-2cm gap between the deck and hull, when pressing down on the front the gap moves to the back.
@dinomaster55088 That sounds like the bridge deck is warped. I released the screws at the front due to bulging on the boat deck, but you need to determine if it's the bridge deck first. The decks should be flat on a desk or table off the hull.
@@JohnsModelmaking It was the bridge deck that was warping. I released the screws near the front of the bridge deck and its laying in line with the hull, thank you for the help.
Hello mate have you any idea how the decks fit on the hull don't seem to be any holes for screws or fixing
