Finally!!! An explanation of dynamic EQ I understand! Andrew Schepps has single-handedly pulled me out of my creative rut. So though he'll probably read this, I'll put it out into the universe: Thank you.
The very short answer is of course ”yes” :) On Puremix.net there are several videos where you can watch him mixing whole songs ITB (and one on a console). He also goes through his mixing template, very detailed.
@Boissinova : if you mean the wooden ones. Tannoy Gold Dual concentric drivers. Passive cabs. Look like 10" Little Reds/SRM10B to me. Strangely they appear to have their shelving eq controls in different positions. However : the knobs are quite brittle plastic and would often swivel on the shaft. Like all quality monitors : get to know them with programme you understand and the Hit Record is just round the corner. :-) :-)
Benjamin Sweetmilk it’s not though unless you’re a really good freelancer. A lot more nepotism and knowing somebody, big names on a resume or ur gonna be an unpaid intern for a long time.
There is no disciple .....it is called engineering...and recording engineering has come to speed during the last 20 years...still not close to science as it should and must be but hopefully will get there.....so it is called education and experience
Always a pleasure to listen to Mr Scheps speak. I really like how he can explain everything in detail without all the ego and bombast.
I would like to give this video two thumbs up. So professional, so laid back. Simple & informative answers to anyone interested in audio production.
Recording your band with Scheps must be really cool. He’s such a nice guy, patient yet full of wisdom.
He seems like such a cool, easy going dude
What a beautiful humble person. Love to listen to this guy! God bless you

16:05 Andrew Scheps Parallel Compression 101
I could listen to this guy talk for a week.
You and I both. 😂
11th August, 2024 and I get to know about the track 'I'll Keep Coming by Low Roar.' Such a beautiful track :)
Scheps is the mixing wizard!!! Thanks for sharing the knowledge. =)
Thank you very much Andrew...you're N°1.....and fantastik person too....saluti da Milano
Thank You Master Andrew...!!!
Yes, Mr. Scheps is a master engineer so I'm not sure why he seemed to be uncomfortable about the term "disciple" when asked if he has one.
Because he's very humble. Very cool personality.
Never heard of him - now I’m intrigued
The man is ICONIC!!!!
Good questions. And GREAT ANSWERS!!
Thank you Andrew, you really gave a tons of great info.
Thank you, Rabbi Scheps.
After listening to his tips, tricks i certainty improved my mixing :)
I would LOVE to get details of all those 15 parallel chains!
at 2:31 - you can see the magic plug-in fairies came and sprinkled him with extra CPU to bless his transition to ITB🥰
Love it.❤ Now please snd me those Tannoy’s.😊
7:57 How to eq rock guitars
Bem que o TH-cam poderia colocar legendas em português, já ta na hora de nois termos essa ferramenta disponível aqui ok
Scheps and processing with modulars... deadly interesting topic.
I wanna be that intern. I do not care how difficult is it to watch you do your thing! I wanna learn everything!
This is very inspirational!
'Disciple' made me laugh out loud! 😀
glad you brought up phase problems with e q important lesson
The phase problem is with MB-Compression not EQ.
thank you
I want to hear him compared to a professor in audio, and Scheps, and I truly believe Scheps knows more about audio than the professor.
He's an audio engineer ...
So he is mixing 100% ITB now? Can you really get a good quality 100% ITB compared to a OTB and/or a Hybrid setup (in a home studio)?
Robin Gardner duh...almost all popular music is done in the box these days. Post Malone’s engineer uses and apollo for all his vocals

@@WillJukedTheBox post malone 100% tracks with hardware as well. Atleast an EQ and compressor
Come to France?
What's speaker name ?
this was great, thanks!
Is there anywhere I can buy one of those mugs?
Why do the Tannoy monitors behind have their EQ set differently? left one flat right both controls plus.
T' annoy the viewer😂
Anyone know the model of speakers?
I’ve seen Al Schmitt use them but can’t figure out the brand.

The problem with that is I can’t put “watched mixed with the masters” on my resume. I CAN put interned with Andrew Schepps on my resume.
Thank god its ability over resume in this industry ;)

@Walter B I do 👍🏼 interned with Andrew scheps won’t get you anywhere if your mix sucks
Top notch profesional !
421 with 57 5 roll offs on sennhisser this really matters /// which one did you chose andrew
probably willing to say no roll off and then post eq? or maybe nothing? We may never know..
HOFA EQ is an amazing Dynamic EQ
The left monitor is 180 degrees out of place, or the right, its just a matter of looking...Or the whole is cut incorrect......
No.
Great from Andrew as always. What a cat.
He doesn't look like a cat to me
Anyone know which dynamic eq plugin he's talking about at the end there?
McDSP AE400
Hexspa Thanks!
If you want a multiband compressor with almost non existent x-over phase issues try Dynone 3. Thank me later
What a guy!
Press 4... Scheps being a pimp!! Lol
All that data is in the beard, hear me, Get a Beard!
Anyone know the intro song?
Chris Sweet that would be Low Roar "Easy Way Out".
Congrats on becoming British!
Awesome!
what kind of monitors are those?
barefoot
Tannoy little red

bravo
Waka-Waka Doo Doo Yeah!
Did he say read the manual??? Heretic!!! :D
You better place Mr Scheps in a surrounding with a headphone and a Laptop; that is how he actually mixes ;)))
for a moment I thought it was rick rubin :(
what was the song at the start?
