I love people who appreciate the credits and their sense of humor! The 3 baddest musicians on the planet are also super fun and hilarious. I met them on this tour and they are also very chill and humble. Love these guys! Thanks for the reaction!
Wow, what a song for a Monday! I love how he plays the keyboards (I’m so mixed up on their names today), of course the drummer is sicccckkkk, and the bass player is top level. I could listen all day! And also listen to you reading off the credits…my favorite part!! Good to see you today, Matt. Thank you Melli. 🎶 Cyd
Yeah! This is such a fun tune 😊 Thanks for taking the time, all three of you 👍👍👍 And a big shout out to melli again! Just briefly: it’s an original, and if I’m right Dirty Loops said of this tune that it was “a mad flirt with Michael Jackson” (please someone correct me if I’m wrong). Apart from MJ being a big influences especially on Jonah when he grew up, they’re also big film music and gaming geeks. So lots of influences from all those things (hi Star Wars☺️), also in their cover of “Thriller”. Jonah’s dream is to write film music, and I think he’s started working on it already. They put out a series of four songs, called Songs for Lovers. All of them have such big gaming influences. It’s also the only one where Aron and Henrik are doing backing vocals, and you’re right, they sound like something else 😉 which is what they get the audience to sing when playing this live ;) Since this vid wasn’t shot live, they’re all rocking their leather jackets, and Henrik is backed by a wall of amps. With this song, I always feel that, yeah right, it comes across as easy and less heavy than some of their other stuff, but that it gets mighty intricate when listening to it for a while. The way the drums and bass sync is insane (and probably Aron wrote some or most of Henrik’s bass lines in here…) And someone commented: “Me: look at this, my bass. My bass: we need to talk.” 🤣 And Jonah’s vocals?! Next, check out “Coffee Break is Over” (get Matt over for this one!) as well as “Next to You”, as well as their cover of “Thriller”. You’re right, DL are 🔥🔥🔥!!!
This was the song that got me into them. I was barely learning the basics of bass playing (this was like a year ago), and since this I just can't stop idolizing Henrik. His is whose level I aspire to sometime be able to reach, but I would definitely recommend you to look up "Next To You", that's exactly the track that allows you to enjoy the best of each member of the band: drums, bass, keys, horns, vocals, harmonies, arpeggios, and a lot more.
Love this one (as everything else of cause). Dirty Loops is just amazing. Jonah sings like a mix of MJ, Stevie Wonder and his own incredible sound. They actually used his first run like a Mariah Carey "All I want for christmas" reference as a teaser for this song just before it came out... 😂
More fun from y'all and Dirty Loops! If Melli didn't have this on her list, tack on their "Songs for Lovers" project (Bitten by the Kitten, Pink Power, Coffee Break is Over, Old Armando Had a Farm), no singing, just musical fun!
1. Love that youre doing more DL! 2. He pronounces his name HEN-rick, not hen-REEK. 3. This year's US tour was their first time overseas in over 10 years, but I hope it's not that long again before they're back. 4. Schnappi, Das Kleine Krokodil was a huge German children's song with a cute animated music video... It's really catchy too. I recently saw a video breakdown of all the Schnappi merch etc that came out of it for a short time.
And I think Henrik’s mum (?) is German so he probably is more connected to German culture than the average Swede. But yes, my Swedish kids know their Schnee Schnapp Schnappy crocodile too, it’s really catchy (unfortunately😁...)
Yeah, Aron and Henrik seem to enjoy what I like to call "inappropriately prominent triplets", the kind that causes the ground beneath your feet to disappear. They do a similar thing on Follow The Light and on the Thriller cover. But apart from that I agree, this is one of the less outrageous numbers on that ep. (I guess maximalists too need to catch their breath). Instead the devil is in the groove: I find the beat laid down here by the rhythm section to be almost indistinguishable from a programmed beat. It is truly scary, their sense of time. (Among other things).
The only issue is that if not for Michael’s influence there would be no guidelines to go off of. It’s always easy to take an original and expand on it if not even make it better. The point is, DL had something to build off of that was first created by the POP KING MJ FIRST
That “misread” of the lyrics were meant to sound like something else. Lol. It’s their sense of humor. If you want a killer and I said KILLER bass solo from Henrik check out their cover of Justin Bieber’s “Baby”
@@musikbyjh I've seen videos of live performances where they say "you know what it's supposed to say, so sing it out strong" to encourage the audience to sing the profanity. I hate any kind of swearing in music so I was very glad they didn't do that when I saw them live in Boston.
Saw them a couple months ago here in Dallas, definitely one of my bucket list items that I had to wait 10 YEARS for them to come to the states!! They are the most talented, humble, fun, interactive, and most amazing guys - period!! Hope they don't wait another 10 years to come back!! The live concert was every bit as entertaining as their TH-cam videos. Whatever you gotta do, GO SEE THEM!!!
The vocalist's voice ALWAYS brings Michael Jackson and/or Stevie Wonder to my mind. If I'm correct, there aren't any horns in this performance... it's all synth.
Totally agree, MJ and Stevie Wonder both are a huge influence on Jonah’s voice, and also their writing style… This recording tho had some real horns on it. But definitely hard to tell them apart from synth horns, -at least for me ☺️
One of my favorites from them, that doesn't get reacted to much, is Breakdown. It's so silky sexy and sultry. They lay back in the beat and the fills are a work of art and the modulation near the end is fantastic as well as the vocal gymnastics. It's a killer mature track. Do yourself a favor and hit that one. You can send me money later.
I started hearing F ck you Let's screw for the chorus many listens back. Now I can hardly hear it otherwise and I’m wondering if they did it on purpose. Anyone else hear it? … oh, first reactors to, sort of, point it out. Must be on purpose.
Great reaction! Since you are now Dirty Loops fans to the max it's time to pronounce their names correctly. Henrik is not "hen-reek" it's just Hen-RICK; Jonah is not "Yon-ah," it's Joan-ah and Aron is not "Ahron" it's Aaron like Hank Aaron the baseball player.

Thanks for the kind comment. We can see why you love them - they are wildly talented and damn funny!!!!

Them performing this was actually one of my top 3 favorite parts of the live show. They tore this song up.
It is their song...
Yeah! This is such a fun tune 😊

@@musikbyjh too easy, with such a reaction vid 😉✌️
Love them dearly - you have such a ride infront of you! Looking forward to your next one.
Thanks Melli ✌️💚
Howdy, once again, Matt!! 👋 Thank you for the request Melli!!!
This song is siiiiiiiiiiiick!!!
Dirty looooooops!😎
You know it, Nick!!!
Liking Dirty Loops. You three at the end had me giggling! 😅

Yeah, Next to You is crazy, next level stuff! 🔥
Agree, Next to you is an absolutely epic anthem.
Such fun reactions you guys give us! Proud Swede here!! 💙💛

@mellifluousa Thanks - I totally forgot about that one, so I had to revisit 🙂
A very enjoyable watch. Thank you, guys!
And Matt, we miss a viking here in Sweden - could you jump in? Just sayin' 😁.
Again, thank you.
Matt @dreaddrum would fit in PERFECTLY!!!! He'd make a wonderful Viking!!!! ❤️🥷🏻

It's SO refreshing to find a band so talented and FUN!!! That timing is INNNNSANE!!!
Best comment, Hack🤣☺️👍
I'm with Matt, no disrespect, but I'd rather listen to this than Michael Jackson! Love it!❤🎶

Will do, friend!! And LOL on the lyrics!!! Matt picked that up, and I (Jillian) didn't even know what was happening. 😭

…another true killer bass solo is on their cover of ‘Dirty’ 😱😱😱
Wait till you see their version of Thriller it’s killer!
Jeremy is beside himself for the "Thriller" remake - he's a big MJ fan. On our list, promise!
Dirty Loops ,,, Coffee Break is Over ,,, it's good and confusing !!
a killer bass groove !
Try an oldie, but goodie. Aron had a much smaller kit, and it’s still unbelievable.

We are hearing that indeed, this was on purpose. We just LOVE their sass. So much fun!!
There’s a video if you search Quincy Jones in Paris where Jonah is singing MJ in front of Q with an all star band behind him.
Great reaction!

Ah - we were trying to honor the accents in their home country. Thanks for the correction!
You missed the bass tweeter microphone supervisor or director or whatever in the credits
