My first impression was that TCL did really well for the budget buyers at the cost this smartphone takes. It has a good camera as well with Dimensity 700 processor.
A 90Hz screen would be especially appropriate for a stylus phone since it should reduce writing latency even more.
I’ve been looking for a stylus phone that is capable enough to serve my needs without breaking the bank, looks that the TCL will serve my needs based on your review.
Phone is nice. But why small battery.

Did not expect TCL to deliver such a solid device tbh and the price impressed me as well. Love that it comes with 5G support thanks to the Dimensity 700.

Agree with you! This TCL Stylus 5g is looking like a decent smartphone at a pocket-friendly price. And, I like that they used a MediaTek chip in it.
Dude, it has face recognition! Can it be set to wake and recognize your face when you pick it up? I wonder how good the mics pick up sound in videos. Also, wonder if a camera app like open camera or snap camera might bring 4k video (I know I'm dreaming)?
A useful piece of info for these reviews would be the slo-mo specs. So even if it does 240 or 480 fps max, but in 720p, does it also offer 120fps 1080p? This info isn't always readily available, and would be easy to find, and ad very useful info.
By no means am I criticizing your vids, they are where I go when i need info. Thanks for the very useful vids!

It's because apple steals your money by hiding behind technology that they hide. Android is open to everyone ( well smart techy people) . Never buy apple anything!!!

The really only gripe is the MediaTek chipset and battery size (but at that price point? you are still getting a solid mid-tier budget device that's guaranteed 1 OS update + 2 years of Security Patch Updates!) 😀
I'm just happy TCL is having a go at a Stylus with Phone (this is the best thing for Consumers because now you have more choices AND this could force Motorola to drive down their prices!)
I'm sure to pick up the 2022 Motorola G Stylus 5G Carrier Variant (when I see it at Metro by T-Mobile) at a reasonable price - but I would also say go to your local Metro and check out this TCL (it may offer up just about everything you need at that price range!) 👍🏻

First like bitches. I like the micro sd slot and fingerprint sensor on the right of the phone plus a headphone jack . I have a s22ultra and i love it so far . Didnt even know TCL made phones

I have had the TCL 5G from T-Mobile for only a weekend. The charging is too slow. 😡😠😡 I am using the wall charger that came with the phone. I have had it plugged in charging and losing %. I don't know what is going on.

Wow even comes with a charger in the box which my pixel 6 did not come with. Also having a fingerprint scanner on the side, sd card slot, stylus, and headphone jack... All things which my pixel 6 doesn't have 😂

It needs a tv app for the phone so you can watch movies on it from rock tcl of course 😅
If you are on T-Mobile and want a better phone, you should check out the Blu F91 5G. It doesn't have a stylus but honestly, a stylus is a gimmick. The F91 has the Dimensity 810 processor and comes with the charger/cord, a rugged case, a tempered glass screen protector, and earbuds all in the box. It's $249 on Amazon and likely a much better device.
I like to put the stylus in my mouth. That is most important.
I've been thinking about picking up the F91 5G to replace my LG Velvet. Never used a Blu device before though, so I'm skeptical.

@@V_Grey004 same here. It’s an unknown brand but if you look at the reviews on Amazon, it’s the biggest majority of positive with very few negative. I’m impressed that Blu includes a bunch of extras in it and even $1,000 flagship phones don’t have any of that.

I'm saying looking at bad news like shootings all day for mental health. Lots of people can't handle seeing negative news constantly and the news isn't really good to watch because of fear mongering and so much more. Many studies have shown it has negative effects when you look at bad news all day especially as soon as you wake up. I've always wanted to feed my spirit with the word before anything.

this phone has android 12 with 1 year upgrade support and 2 years of security support.
The cheapest Samsung smartphone had 2 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates

No it doesn't, but at the price range $259 (and a good Stylus) it's what we need as Consumers (it also has NFC, so that's 3 devices available for under $300 that have NFC).
I will honestly say that I'm a Motorola guy, but in my opinion Motorola got lazy this year because they didn't have any competition with Mid-Tier + Stylus for 2 years (now they have competition, so now Motorola needs to think about price range + specs in 2023).
This Device will get 1 OS Update + 2 years of Security Patch Updates (comes with Android OS 12 out of the box).

Just got it today and I'm in love ❤️ this phone is amazing set up took literally 6 minutes to set up. And it's so smooth this phone is perfect and it was only 188.00 on a new line all fees included. On metro PC's. I'm coming from the moto g stylus 5g and it's worlds apart. Get this phone . Don't waste any time. Get it quick. This review is spot on. Don't waste hundreds . This phone rocks.
