Hilarious, heartwarming series. Although it’s definitely not all about the money, and this experience seems to have brought lots of great opportunities for Ronald, I really think that if the show becomes a massive moneymaker that they should pay him a small percentage of present and future profits. Otherwise, it’s going to feel like exploitation since they only paid him 100 grand while they make millions off of his persona. The show would literally be nothing without Ronald.
Wouldn't it have been illegal to give him a sequestration order under the threat of arrest without actually having the authority of California? I mean there's no waiver he could sign that would eliminate liability from the state itself to the production company, unless he explicitly knew that the sequestration order was not binding
I really liked this show. It was fun. Where is the rest of the cast? Also, yeah everyone did their job well but all the patting each other on the back got pretty boring. Is this the premier of season 2? Because as an interview show it was pretty boring.
Also, I searched for it on other streaming services, but actually came across the whole season here on TH-cam. It was great to rewatch! Of note, one of the characters is played by pre-SNL Kristen Wiig!
Thank you! I just binge watched the whole Joe Schmo Show on TH-cam. I had never even heard of it. I guess that's why it worked again with Jury Duty. But I take back my other comment about it being mean spirited. It is horrendously objectifying and just dated as far as LGBT is dealt with. But the guy was nice and everyone was careful with his feelings.
I enjoyed the show but the more I’ve seen of the post show interviews, the more I’m thinking this was quite unkind to Ronald and that the emotional game played on him in public will take a strain in the future…
I love Edie!! She’s HILARIOUS- all of her facial expressions and Vanessa too- both of them had impeccable facial reactions to things
The variety of characters and such realistic people is a huge part of what makes it compelling. Casting was incredible.
