Yes you make it look very easy I’ve just recently started doing local swimming holes at local rivers and they flow pretty good it’s pretty difficult to go upstream while swinging

Started detecting about a year ago and now have a Nox 600. A little hesitant to take it under water but it’s time and your videos are very encouraging and thank you for sharing so much knowledge.
What’s the best ocean headphone setup ? Do you use the equinox waterproof headphones or something else?
And should I seal anything up with silicone?

Hi Can you help me, I have the same minelab 800, I can detect on the dry sand no problem, But when I get to the wet sand, I get a lot of, I think falsing from salt, I do the noise cancel and ground balance, What else should I do with the settings, Turn down the sensativity, I also use beach 2, but still get alot of salt mineralzation falsing. Thanks I am on the east coast of fla.
Be sure to hunt in Beach 2. Sensitivity 18. Try that..🙏😎

The 600 and 800 have had problems with water entering the unit. Minelab has a 3 year replacement warranty. Service is good.
Very stable in mineralized strata.

I have had stained fingers as well and could not figure out why??? I thought it was the Xtreme Scoop since I hold my scoop in my hand while I hunt. But then I realized that gold testing acid was actually the culprit. If you are acid testing gold and wipe the acid off with your finger, your skin will stain.

what is the best settings for underwater use on the Nox 600
Beach 2. I run at 18 sensitivity
Ground balance on 0 or auto

Kememe both!! The wireless are really comfortable and great on windy days. I purchased the waterproof ones for deeper water. Appreciate your comment🙏

@@hi-holesilver stock coil is the best. 15” is only necessary if you are in a field or large area with few targets. 6” is a must for dirty areas. 🙏😎❤️

How is this for weird? .... I'm at the beach on vacation and want to try some beach detecting with my Equinox 600. So I search youtube and this is the first video that I watch. As I'm watching it, I feel like I recognize where he is at. Then I realized I'm standing in the same spot on the same beach as he is.
Dude, if this beqch is one of tour regular spots, I'm sure I won't find squat here!

I know how they lose rings off their hands off their fingers when I get in the water just like when you’re home dishwashing when you’re swimming in the swimming pool your fingers rank up and then the rings come off really easy I can tell you how that happens and how you find rings once and fingers the swelling goes down a shrink up because I’ve been in the water and rings or come right off really easy winter swim and they won’t even feel it come off and then sugar sand at the beach if they’re building castles with her kids to do the same thing in a pool rings right off what you normally feel that before you feel one come off in the water
I heard it’s a ring size in 15 minutes. I constantly warn people at the beach. There are so many diamond rings here it’s amazing 🤩

I forgot where I seen it on the Internet on TH-cam but a year ago there was a guy that was making up the wires for the metal detectors and the wires were thicker than the ones that come on them and it goes down to the coil they were thicker and had a better shield and they were great they were double the size of the wire that comes like on the equinox or the vanquish they were a lot fatter and they had that means it had a lot more shield in the water and they didn’t even pick up no kind of noise or nothing from them and I don’t know what happened to the guy but he was selling them making them up and selling them right and left a couple different links do you know how many inches he wanted he made them up and they had waterproof hands on them and everything and they were great but I don’t know what happened to that guy he sold a heck of a lot of my know that and if I see him again I’m buying one for my equinox
Well maybe next time, will be real 18k chain. But the guy must had poop in his swimsuit when the dolphin was around him. 😂

And another thing the aluminum the Lumina mask aluminum pole it comes on the equinox 600 and 800 with the holes in it it’s aluminum instead of carbon fiber and they ain’t no good because your coil in the water to move in it’s going to give you a false signals and that’s a fact and everybody has equal not complain about that aluminum she have to be put on a recent ex is as much as it is that equinox cost you think they would put a carbon fiber shaft on it they put carbon fiber shaft on the vanquish do you know if I get it cause I got it on my 440 but I just ordered one from Steves carbon fiber shaft metal you know he’s a he’s on the Internet he’s got a website he makes the best ones all different color and you can order them from him he’s even have a counter weight in the and it’s light as a feather it’s got weights in it and it goes on the end of your shift up there by your cough and you can balance it on 1 foot I mean one finger I’m sorry 1 foot on one finger when it’s Steve’s rods I think that’s the name of the website how I just ordered one from him but treasure talk in Fort Myers and that fort Myers Myers detect detectors and treasure tall keys out of Tampa Florida he can tell you where you can get one now they have several people on the Internet that sells them carbon fiber shaft he’s are the best because they have counterweights on the butt so you’re your coil is in heavy after swinging it all day and you wouldn’t even though you’ve been swinging one all day he just makes it so much lighter and you can you can waitYou can wait it how you want it you can take some of the weed out or you can put more in and it’s a two piece job and he has all different colors they’re beautiful I mean they look great so it’s Steve’s carbon fiber shaft.com I think it is and who can tell you and give you his phone number is Myers metal detecting in Tampa Florida they had him on their show the other night with treasure talk and I got a hold of him and I ordered one without them push buttons it’s got a nice sweet cam locks the flip over and it will not loosen up on you and it’s beautiful

If you don’t have patience metal detecting ain’t for you you have to have patience do you know if you were a metal detector us you should have plenty of time because it’s a sport it mostly a lot of retired people like to do it in and get direct Cercis walking around and I got all the Time in the world and it gives them something to do in the rewards can be big sometimes but if you don’t have the patience and you can expect to be hitting right and left hip and right and left and getting it and getting that someday we won’t be nothing you know but unless you have the patience you ain’t gonna get a thing and you might as well hang it up and find another hobby if you don’t have patience
