- What is an idol, and how are we able to remove idols from our lives?
Although we may not workshop gold statues, we still may have idols that are taking first place in our hearts.
In this video, we are taking a look at the story of the children of Israel and how they made a golden calf their God.
Moses was gone for 40 days as God was giving Moses the 10 commandments, and as a result, the Israelites decided to make a golden calf for themselves because they felt as though Moses was gone a little too long.
This story is jammed packed with lessons that we can learn from the children of Israel of how we can recognize the idols in our life and more importantly, how we are able to remove them as quickly as possible.

I agree with you Lady....people need to cast aside their corrupt mindsets....because that's where the battlefield is....Corinthians says we shouldn't rely on earthly system.....since we have free access to God's rich spiritual resources.Matthew says no one can Serve two masters...it's either you despise the other and be devoted to the other.....or be devoted to the other and despise the other......No one can Serve both God and Money.

In the society that we currently live in, it is easy to sometimes fall for idolatry, but it is important to glorify God, not money, people, social media influencers, popularity, etc. Like you said, it’s nothing wrong with enjoying life and enjoying nice things in life, but God always comes first and should be at the center of it all! ✝️ May you please create a video on how to attract godly friends? In old testament of Genesis God had already mentioned saying to Abraham 'I am that I am' for I can't be contained in a vessel . Christians should understand that Creator should be worshipped not the creation.
There are 8000 people die of starvation in the world every day. Id say even church goers are idolatrous. The catholic church alone recieves 90 billion a year in donations. Thats 10million dollars per person who dies of starvation yearly.
Totally agree, everyone is guilty of idolatry. The point it to recognize it, repent, and make it an effort to not do it again.
For some reason everyone tries to change the meaning of idolatry. God's word identifies idolatry as graven images or money. The fact is that most churches use crosses, crucifixes or statues in their worship. They place these object directly in front of the congregation and when they call everyone to prayer, everyone bows their head thereby doing exactly what God warned us of. Since most denominations are engaging in this practice, they twist the command to mean the objects in your life such as your house, your car or placing too much importance on people or material things. Although these things may be counter-productive, they are not what the bible calls idolatry. So in essence people are being deceived into idolatry.
Yes the Bible is an idol.
The spiritual blind cannot see the nations idols high and lifted up on a flag pole.
The god of the US is the image of the star spangled of heaven, and the image of the bald eagle of the earth.
The god of Israel is the image of the star remphan of heaven Acts 7:43.
The god of Canada is the image of the leaf of the maple tree of the earth.
The god of Japan is the image of the sun of heaven.
The god of Mexico is the image of the eagle and serpent of the earth.
Idolatry is through the pledge of allegiance to the flag, and anthem.
When the king of babylon the great played the anthem at the sound of music the babylonians bowed down to the ground and worshipped the statue of the golden image of the earth.
When the US plays the anthem at the sound of music the US stand on their feet and worshipped the image of the star spangled of heaven with a song.
The nations founding fathers made images of the stars of heaven, of the moon, of the sun, of birds and four footed beasts, in the likeness of heaven above, or in the likeness of the earth below, and set the images in the flags, to serve them.
The nations idols of wood and stone, were replaced with idols of fabric.
Nations that exalt themselves to be great God is going to bring them down to hell.
To avoid idolatry we must believe what God said in Exodus 20:3-5, and deuteronomy 4:15-19.
I'm not gonna lie, I make women, and finding a girlfriend or wife an idol. I truly don't know how to make God my only when I often fantasize about wanting a girlfriend.
