Most men can relate to The Place Beyond the Pines, not having a father or a lack of a masculine role model in general and what it can lead to. It has a great commentary on family lineage and legacies through generations. You know, the past few generations being an indication of how important fathers play in their sons lives, even daughter lives. Glad somebody finally has this gem on here. And Luke's one of the most three-dimensional and realistic characters in any movie I've ever seen. Goated character in a goated movie. Keep it real guys

@@mrkanenas Sometimes you grew with both parents who were there for you, and grandparents too, and they all taught you well... you had many genuine friends and tons of good acquaintances and you were decent looking, healthy and fit... and still, none of it means anything when it just starts growing in you like cancer... first you don't pay attention to it, then you see it as a minor distraction, then it slowly starts impacting your decisions and thus life and sends to down the endless spital... and year or two, or even five, later you're here...

I didn’t talk for 3 days after seeing that because the origin story of Money was almost exactly like my experience in the justice system. Got 4 years for assault leading to injury in a drunken bar fight. 2 months in, had to clique up with my Brothers. 4 turned to 9 and the trajectory of my life changed excessively and often.

I’ve been there too, sometimes I return just for a while, it will go away , try going to the gym on your own and watch some videos regarding self development (Hamza for example) it’s the first step, no one must feel that way and as woo woo or cringy as it sounds forgive yourself and move on brother
@@josepizarro4052 it's not that easy. You say go to gym , watch this and that. Trust me when the darkness takes over your mind you don't even want to get out of your bed, eat food or do anything. I once went for 2 days in my bed without food until my parents came to check in and picked me up and took me with them . Fed me and made it a little better for me that feeling you get where you wish you never wake up It's shit and the worst sense feeling one can have. People throw around words like depression and anxiety like it's nothing but when you are actually suffering from it, you'd hate to hear that word, you don't know what to do or what's wrong with or what you should do to avoid it and than someone tells you that you should see the doctor because you are probably suffering from the Sick D . you know what happens then ? You probably don't. You get pissed and get crazy because you think aren't crazy and Don't need a doctor but you actually are crazy and need someone to help you . Seriously i wish I was living alone right now because when I loose my mind its the people around me that sees and hears the worst. I say things that i never should and never would but I still say it out loud because I am not me anymore and there aren't any emotions left inside me other than 10 seconds of anger. It's very hard and bad for people who go through things that are worse. I can't imagine the state of mind people are in when they kill themselves due to that . I can only pray for them

The place beyond the pines shows what it’s like to have your child ripped away from you. It shows what it’s like to have to watch from a distance as another person holds your child.
