- Iranian President Raisi's visit: Traffic plan for Karachi on April 23#geonewsheadlines
The Karachi traffic police on Monday issued a traffic plan for April 23 (tomorrow), a day before the Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi's visit to the metropolis.
As per the plan, Club Road will be completely closed for traffic from PIDC to Metropole due to security, said the traffic police.
Moreover, Ziauddin Road will also be closed from Khajoor Chowk to PIDC. It will also remain closed completely from the light signal to PIDC Chowk.
The police added that the traffic coming from Sultanabad Road will be diverted towards Khajoor Chowk, Aiwan-e-Sadr Road.
Those coming from Shaheen Complex will be able to go left from Khajoor Chowk to Aiwan-e-Sadr Road.
Iran's Raisi arrived in Islamabad today on a three-day official visit to Pakistan, the first by any foreign leader after the February 8 general elections.

یہ دورہ مشرق وسطیٰ میں کشیدگی میں اضافے کے درمیان ہوا ہے، خاص طور پر ایران کے اسرائیل پر حالیہ حملے کے بعد۔ ایرانی صدر ابراہیم رئیسی 3 روزہ دورے پر اسلام آباد پہنچ گئے۔ پاکستان کی وزارت خارجہ نے ایک بیان میں کہا کہ اسلام آباد ایئرپورٹ پر ان کا پرتپاک استقبال کیا گیا۔ وزارت کے مطابق، رئیسی، جو ایک اعلیٰ سطحی وفد کے ہمراہ ہیں، توقع ہے کہ وہ پاکستانی صدر آصف علی زرداری اور وزیر اعظم شہباز شریف سے ملاقات کریں گے اور لاہور اور کراچی کے شہروں کا بھی دورہ کریں گے۔ اسلام آباد روانگی سے قبل رئیسی نے کہا کہ ایران ہمسایہ پالیسی کے مطابق پاکستان کے ساتھ تعلقات کو بہتر بنانے اور اسلامی اور پڑوسی ممالک کے ساتھ تعلقات کو فروغ دینے میں دلچسپی رکھتا ہے۔ انہوں نے زور دے کر کہا کہ پاکستانی حکومت کے ساتھ معیشت، تجارت، توانائی اور سرحد سمیت متعدد امور پر بات چیت کی جائے گی۔ ایرانی صدر نے دونوں ممالک کے درمیان تجارتی اور اقتصادی تبادلوں کو فروغ دینے کی امید ظاہر کی، اس بات پر غور کرتے ہوئے کہ وہ سیاسی تعاون کی سطح پر نہیں ہیں۔ رئیسی نے غزہ اور فلسطین کے عوام کے دفاع کے حوالے سے ایران اور پاکستان کے درمیان اچھے مفاہمت پر بھی روشنی ڈالی۔ سرحد پار سے بمباری کے تبادلے سے پڑوسی ممالک کے باہمی تعلقات کو نقصان پہنچا۔ 16 جنوری کو ایران نے پاکستان میں سنی گروپ جیش العدل، جسے وہ ایک دہشت گرد تنظیم سمجھتا ہے، کی تنصیبات پر بمباری کرنے کا دعویٰ کیا۔ اسلام آباد نے کہا کہ ایرانی حملے میں دو بچے ہلاک ہوئے اور تہران میں اپنے سفیر کو مشاورت کے لیے واپس بلا لیا۔ دو دن بعد پاکستانی فوج نے ایران میں دو پاکستانی علیحدگی پسند گروپوں کے مبینہ ٹھکانوں کے خلاف کئی حملوں کی ذمہ داری قبول کرتے ہوئے 10 پاکستانی شہریوں کو ہلاک کرنے کا دعویٰ کیا۔ رئیسی کا پاکستان کا دورہ بھی مشرق وسطیٰ میں بڑھتی ہوئی کشیدگی کے ساتھ موافق ہے جب ایران نے 13 اپریل کو اسرائیلی سرزمین پر 300 سے زیادہ ڈرونز اور میزائلوں سے حملہ کیا تھا جس کا بدلہ دمشق میں اس کے قونصل خانے پر حملے کا تھا، جس کی وجہ تل ابیب سے منسوب تھی۔
