Both great speakers cant go wrong with fosgate or kicker. Now fosgate amps are better in my opinion but speakers i can never tell difference between these two

Yes you are right . In speakers fostage hav balance sound between mid high and low. But kicker is louder and has more excursion.n

So, without a baffle and enclosure of some type, you're getting massive soundwave cancellation from the positive front pressure and the negative rear pressure working directly against each other. Bass response is significantly reduced by open air. Put them both in separate small sealed enclosures if you want to get a real life expectation of performance. An enclosure will also provide some rebound pressure which can protect the speaker from over exertion when attempting to produce sounds below the resonant frequency.

It sounds that Rockford are bit more precise and balanced. I'm about to buy them for old BMW E30 replacement front speakers. Also, if you listen to a range of music like me being older I think it will sound better.

Kicker is louder and has more bass; but Rockford has better sound quality and tighter bass .
Remember, bass does not have to be so loud; but it should be tight .
