That zf box …. Tuned will come alive like a dct… same as on m140i … it’ll transform the car even in current 500bhp guise ….but it’s a little lazy until it’s been tuned ….
Absolutely beautiful car Ricky but I somehow feel its not as much fun as when your m140i is complete, this one is a looker and a tech feast,but 750 bhp m140i is going to be a belly full of fun....

Completely agree with this review, I have an F80 m3 comp and I had a g80 over the weekend from sytner and felt disconnected but it’s quick as hell.
I've heard that BMW has a software update for the ZF 8 speed gearbox in the M3/M4 that makes the upshifts more aggressive.... Maybe that might make it more "dct like" for shifting gears, you may have to check if your cars gearbox has the latest update.
xhp has a zf8 tcu tune for g82…. Even better get a custom tcu tune by a specialist like Mike ball …. That’s more of an active tune that constantly self adjusts …. That box issue will be immediately sorted …..

My thoughts on this m4 are the same. Its a very good car, but its a boring m4. Driven on road and track. On track its unbelievably capable. 4 wheel slides just on the edge of grip are controllable and you can go fast everywhere. But, its just a bit too easy / dull, and i think the weight and the gearbox are the biggest let downs.
an honest modification would be to get a carbon fibre led steering wheel. Would like naughty on in that car. Love the car BTW

What a small world it is, intact I'm going to see what fm motors has in stock now. Loving life fast bro.
I had a Remus cat-back G80 and sold it after 7 months. Awesome machine and super capable, but from a drivers point of view I just felt it was lacking the engagement or entertainment. Definitely great cars, but was missing some of the fun for me!

S58 is the new king on the block boyyy.ricky,do a single turbo and pure stage 3 transmission build.Mpower house in new York are the only guys with a single turbo build(from my knowledge) and they have the highest hp g80.I don't think there are any single turbo g82's with a pure transmission

Lol CSL software doesn't work correctly on a regular M3/M4 due to hardware differences in the gearbox
@@TheCarDetail I dont think its really has different internals. Most likely its mounted solidly on the chassis
I've tried it on my own car and others, it doesn't shift right. Also it launches in 2nd gear due to it being 2wd so no good on a 4wd car. Better to get a proper custom map on the gearbox, makes them come alive
