My problem is the thing feels like there's anti skate already on 2 even without the antiskate spring engaging onto the tonearm. Basically it likes to go to around the last 2 songs on the disc and stay there, if you push it in it will spring itself back to that position. I do not know why.

It is possible que the spring that it is thh antiskaating is out of his position. It is a dificult fix. It hhas to be dismounted all the arm.

@@HifiBarcelona I fixed the problem. It turns out the needle that presses on the bearing is loose, and so I tightened it and that fixed the problem.
But if the bearing is truly bad (these are not very well made bearing to be honest with you), I found another fix to replace it rather than try to purchase an exact replacement (which isn't very good and if you can find it, is extremely expensive).

My tonearm behaves the same way as it does in this video: whenever it is placed in the center of the record, it skates back to rest.
I disassembled it but the metal spring was already on the correct side. What else should I look for to trouble shoot this?

I've got this problem on one of mine but mine goes the opposite to yours, it glides to the centre on all anti skate settings

If it's preferring a certain position, tighten the needle that presses against the bearing and see if this fixes the problem. If this aggravates the problem, as in the tonearm snaps to a position with force, the bearing is gone.
You will need to remove the original bearing, then ream it out to accept a MR52ZZ or MR62ZZ bearing. This will fix the problem. The original bearing is made out of pot metal or something.

Si la averia es la misma que la que se de active en el vídeo se puede arreglar… però claro, pueden ser otras causas…
La reparacion puede SWR costosa. Tambien se puede cambiar el brazo…

A todas estas no muestras el resultado final, ese problema no viene del resorte interno sino de los rodamientos del pivote del propio brazo..

Pués he de decirte que no. Que no tienes razón, que Después de està reparación el antiskating ya funciona.
Por curiosidad, y pensando que a lo mejor sabias de que hablabas, y poder aprender de ti, he visto que no. Que no compartes tu conocimiento de ninguna manera. Que fàcil es poder criticar sin proponer, eh…

@@HifiBarcelona buenas noches amigo, no te ofendas, solo te respondo desde mi humilde experiencia y opinión sobre este tipo de fallas en estás tornamesas, es más me alegra muchísimo que lo hayas resuelto de esta forma porque te aseguro que si los rodamientos del pivote estuvieran deteriorados la única opción posible de reparar el antiskating era instalando un brazo nuevo ya casi imposible de conseguir por cierto, un saludo!
