in my opinion this is your best video yet. I remember as a teenager my father and I helped our neighbor plow a field he had that was about 60 acres and we had 5 tractors with 2 and 3 bottom plows in that one field what a sight ! Great job.
Give a farmer a reason to get out in the field after a long winter and you better get out of the way!Great to see farmers willing to help one another.Don't see that much any more.Times change but still nice to see.Great flying, thanks.
It's great to see the youth of our generation take over with such ambition and they seem to be having fun helping a neighbor out, on top of it all. Good going guys ( Daryl, Daryl & Daryl )
I hope you guys know that you are blessed with the privilege of farming some of the most beautiful country side I have ever seen! Thanks for the video....a beautiful farm!
This is such a great vid! Loved the teamwork you guys have done! Well done guys! God bless all of our great Ranchers and Farmers of all ages, generations, and their precious families!
Awsome helping one another farming that is so cool all three tractors working together like that always love the vids you and your brother do you keep getting better and better vids out the both of you thanks guys
Timmy Feltmann Not entirely true, I'm in Ohio and we just finished moldboard plowing today on some sod that we hauled manure on last weekend. You can definitely plow in the spring, the old timers did it.
well you guys work together and turn a two day job into a 5 hour job , can't beat team work , not sure i understand how the disc equipment is different but very impressive .
team work always gets things done I think it would have been awesome if you'd done a aerial shot of the fields before then after to really show off the field outlines and buffer strips
Yeah I can't believe they're not using a rolling basket behind those disks... they really do a beautiful job and leave the ground firm with a little loose stuff on top and ready to plant. I run a 23 foot White disk with a 25 foot Unverferth rolling basket behind a Case 4890 4WD for my BIL in northern Indiana in the spring ahead of the planter, and it just does a BEAUTIFUL job... He's got a lot of different soils, all up and down the hills in the same field, from really light sand that with just the disk is SO fluffy that the planter just sinks in and bulldozes and leaves the seed planted in the bottom of 4 inch deep "trenches" where the planter gauge wheels sorta "plow-rolled" through... You can't walk across it without sinking in... but with the rolling basket pulled behind the disk, it's firm with an inch or so of looser soil and residue on top, ready to plant, and the planter rolls through smooth as silk. On heavier ground, the disk will leave the ground cloddy and rough. With the rolling basket behind, it breaks all that up and smooths it out, firms it up somewhat, and eliminates all those air pockets that dry the ground out, yet it leaves a little loose soil and residue on top, which dries out and makes a thin layer of soft dry soil for the planter to run on, which eliminates mud sticking to the planter gauge wheels, while at the same time protecting the soil beneath that's been firmed up, so it doesn't dry out and "turn to concrete"... and that way your planter is planting into firm, moist soil without all the air pockets, so you get quicker germination and more even emergence. When we row cropped down in Texas, we farmed on raised beds. I had pulled drag harrows behind the hipper on the last pass before planting for YEARS until I got some rollers (big pipe rollers) and switched to that instead. It was like night and day difference-- the rollers left the ground smooth an firmed up and the planter rolled across it smooth as if it were rolling over asphalt... no bouncing, no need for row cleaners or V-sweeps or anything ahead of the gauge wheels to knock the clods off the top of the row or push crap out of the way... just smooth sailing and even planting depth, good closure of the seed trench, and even emergence. The drag harrows had busted up or rolled most of the clods off the tops of the rows well enough, but some made it through or bounced over the bars or rolled under the harrows, and the whole bed was still loose and fluffy with air pockets and tended to dry out too much... the rollers firmed the soil up and brought the moisture right up to the surface, and eliminated the air pockets that tend to dry the soil out much deeper (2-3 inches deep, right in the planting zone). The rollers brought the moisture up into the planting zone to ensure quick germination and emergence. Within a few years, most of the guys around me were pulling rollers behind their hippers, or pulling a roller across the field just ahead of the planter. If I were row cropping now, first thing I'd buy was a good rolling basket... those things just do an AMAZING job, and they don't take that much power... they could EASILY pull the thing behind the EXISTING DISK-- no need for a wanna-be "vertical tillage" disk. From what I'm seeing, 90% of the improvement in the job it's doing is because of the ROLLING BASKET behind the rear gangs! I wouldn't believe it either unless I saw it myself, but having seen it on the BIL's place, I SEE why those things sell like hotcakes in Indiana and elsewhere... Just night and day difference.... Later! OL J R :)
@@lukestrawwalker you never know they might not have enough money for rolling baskets and those 4630 and 4640 might not have enough horsepower for rolling baskets
@@tiger5551 Yeah they're not cheap but you can get older units used reasonable and as for power those tractors should handle it, they pull pretty easy worst is if it's wet and they start to sink in our ball up but if it's that wet you shouldn't be doing tillage or go around the wet hole... OL J R
You guys should buy one big articulated tractor and one big vt tool. Big tractors are cheap now and they can really cover the ground. If you have never driven one try one and I will assure you you will never go back. The power is amazing in these machines. The drone footage was great.
We only have a 16 foot disk to run on our farm and its the first plow we run in the field after wheat harvest as our chisel plow can't handle wheat stubble at all so I understand the hassle of working with small plows.
I use a 7.5 inch disk spacing so the clods are smaller. I sharpen when the edge is not sharp for good cutting. /your 8235R would pull 29' wide easy with your soft loam soil.
Watch those bearings in the back. We have a case turbo till (literally exactly the same thing) and all the bearings were bad this year. You can get them pretty cheaply online
Ryan could you change the disc blades out on the disc to ones similar like the vt then add the rolling baskets on the back I feel like that could be an option, I know it's a lot of work but could be a nice winter project
Hello how are you doing? I am from Uruguay and I am having problems of soil erosion when I move the earth. I wanted to know what measures you are using to avoid this, as you planned the direction and direction of work to avoid the slope?
Great video. As a Video Editor, you make a really good job. But just one question, where you download the music for your videos, it's a really amazing production music.
So in overall plant stand and growth through the season can you tell any difference between the Disc and the VT even yield difference where the passes were difference?
i dont know if the expense would be worth it,but a used unverferth rolling harrow behind those discs might do just as good a job.just a respectful suggestion.like the vids thanks.
High concavity disk are beeing replaced by conical low angle disks for varius reasons. Old times, they just wanted dark clean topsoil, that is achived with a high angle disk. Nowadays its been proven that mixing (rather than turning over) is more effective for decoposition.

The kind of videos I like - lots of iron at work and friends helping friends.
Were is this.
keep calm and blame the black guy - Southwestern Wisconsin...
Nice video Ryan I think it's your best one yet. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to share your amazing farm with all of us
This is just one of the reasons why I really enjoy your videos, good honest hardworking. Taking the time to help a neighbor. You guys rockkkkkk!!!
That EarthMaster is a beast, you are good people to help out your friend.
Awesome, love seeing all those GREEN tractors rolling through the fields!
Awesome video Ryan. Nothing better than spring fieldwork!
Like seeing that 4630 working. Great video
Dear Ryan we use our vt tool year round for spring tilling and for beans behind potatoes and In the fall for sizing up stalks so you will be just fine
LOVE hearing that beautiful DEERE POWER!!!
Great video. Neat to see a Krause center fold disk.
I subdued to you

6030 John Deere old school at work 10/24/15 covering cover crops pulling 30 foot turbo till , great video
Ryan the 2nd is certainly making that old girl have it. What a lush sounding tractor....and no def to boot.!
Very good video. Really enjoyed the drone footage from overhead. Yes, there is a noticeable difference with the tillage equipment used here.
Awsome helping one another farming that is so cool all three tractors working together like that always love the vids you and your brother do you keep getting better and better vids out the both of you thanks guys
Better than john deere commercial. Nice too see you boys working together. Good familes
Brings back memories summer job on grand dads farm in Kansas during summer break jr high and high school
Thanks, really enjoy your work. I can't get out in the field anymore so its really enjoyable.
Nice to see some tillage, and in a row like that. I'm actually watching this on my tractor waiting for it to warm up so I can start plowing.
Matthew King I don't know where your from but plowing happens in the fall
I run antique equipment on my small garden, it's only about an acre. I plow because it's all I have. I plow then run a cultivator to break it up.
Timmy Feltmann Not entirely true, I'm in Ohio and we just finished moldboard plowing today on some sod that we hauled manure on last weekend. You can definitely plow in the spring, the old timers did it.
Matthew King in Minnesota we plow in the fall and just run a field cultivator in spring
Great video Ryan! I stumbled upon your channel yesterday and have been binge watching so many videos haha. Keep up the great work!!
Great teamwork guys "get er done" Nice video work as well thanks .
im a red guy but the 30 and 40 series always where one of my favorites. Still doesnt beat an 88 series love the old 5088
Watching this was so satisfying!
WAY TO RIPE IT UP GUYS! NICE TO SEE YOU HELPING A GUY OUT!!!!!!!
that looks like fun! the tractors sound great especially the 4630.
Only thing missing was the smell of the turned soil.!! Great video !!
Awesome video...didn't want the great action to end!!
One of the best videos you've done. Awesome!
well you guys work together and turn a two day job into a 5 hour job , can't beat team work , not sure i understand how the disc equipment is different but very impressive .
that's the way to do it help one another out
Hey Ryan. Have you looked into adding a basket roller to the back of the 630 disk. I'm sure it would help with the lumps of dirt.
team work always gets things done
I think it would have been awesome if you'd done a aerial shot of the fields before then after to really show off the field outlines and buffer strips
What a fun video to watch!
The vt is probably making a nicer job because it has a packer roller on the back unlike the disks

Johnny Holland Cheap.. funny..
This was a great video! Nice teamwork!!
As always nice video keep up the good work looks like at least you're having good weather
Good to help people close to you around here we have a bunch of a**holes that would not give you the time of day let alone help you in the field.

Brilliant video, great tractors - Good Job !

You are really helpfull neighbours👍👍😉
I seen Travis video of this but I been waiting to see your video because I could see you filming from Travis tractor
the drone footage is beautiful!
That Krause really seems to work the ground nice.
Now that's Farm Folk there! Git-er-done!
Ryan love the video & the music
Ryan could you change the disc blades out on the disc to ones similar like the vt then add the rolling baskets on the back I feel like that could be an option, I know it's a lot of work but could be a nice winter project
Jordan Vinski won't make the disk a VT though because of the angle of the blades on VT is less than the angle on the discs
Interesting didn't know that, haha thanks out here we use chisels, a ripper and cultivators and rolling harrows for our tillage
Great vid Ryan
Great time of year!
Good video let us know if y’all see a different in the crops by doing that
compared to my memory of 50+ years ago, you guys were flying
LUV your Rolling Hill Country......!
Привет из России. Хорошая работа парни, быстро,чётко и слаженно! У вас есть чему учиться! Удачи и хорошего урожая!
That looked like awesome fun!
so much iron in that field it looks awesome
Americans are all about iron man its hilarious
Live tillage is awsome especially during
VT is where it's at. We rarely use the disk anymore.
Nice drone shots.
Hi Ryan & Travis & Family & Wives.
Who was flying the drone?? They did a top notch job
This really was a lot of fun.
I love the tractors!! Does the 8235r have dules
i love to see some nice green in the feild
Good Video!!! Ryan 2x and Travis!
John Deere tractors are the cream of the crop!!!!
Great Video! Thanks for posting. How wide was the disk pulled by the 8325?
Jimmy Bryant 25 ft
In my opinion you should put some extra ballast on JD 630 disk and add the string rollers same like in VT.
Those rolling harrows on the VT are why there are less clods.
Awesome Video! John Deere Power
