I think meant " if you have a car with an ignition you shouldn't use the ring" It will prevent your key from going inside the ignition causing it to false start the car which can give you problems. If you have a newer car with push to start, by all means your car will be fine :)

Your bedazzled cover is going to hit you in the face is actually a safety reason do not do it.
