    Superb video Florian. As always.
With lot's of points and clearing explanations.
I've just only missed a short reference to Jim Courier, since the inside out forehand (based in baseball strokes mechanics in his particular case), was one, if not the main shot of his baseliner style of game.
    Best regards from Spain.

Lefty complaint: we do this stuff from the DEUCE court. Moreover, any crosscourt shot from here goes to the FOREHAND of a right-handed player. Hence the strategy is different. It is the inside-in lefty forehand that attacks the right-handed player's backhand.
Also, definitely worth mentioning: when a right-handed player is dealing with a lefty, his crosscourt inside-out forehand goes to the lefty's forehand.

As a 24 year USPTA professional, I enjoy all these types of lessons. One thing you should mention is the better your backhand cross court/Inside out forehand is, the less you have to recover to the center of the court to prepare for the next shot.
Off your inside out forehand @ the 4:45 mark you really over corrected your recovery. I teach all my higher lever students to bisect the angles of the shots your opponent has available. The down the line backhand for your opponent is not a very viable option in this situation. The cross court is much more attainable and natural. If you stay 3-4 feet left of the center mark on the inside out recovery you are much more apt to have the ability to run around the reply and hit another inside forehand..even off a decent cross court backhand reply from your opponent.
Thanks for the post though...good stuff.

do you think it's the same effective to hit the inside in/out with either open or close stance ??

depends on the height of the incoming ball...

What about a left-handed player like me? My inside-out forehand will go right in the opponent's dominant side!
Hence this means I need to hit an inside-in forehand to reach the right-handed opponent's backhand. But as you know inside-in forehand is a little bit too risky, since it needs shorter distance to take and it lacks angle as well. Unless I force some more top spin that lacks power and the ball bounces high which is consequently not a finishing shot and rest of the court is too wide open for him to hit! too bad!
