Kyungsoo voice is my favorite in EXO. His voice is soulful, calming, clear, strong and emits so much emotion. I think his voice is the most stable and no one can tell me otherwise.

I'm not his fan but to be really honest, among all the exo members, Kyungsoo's voice is the most soulful.
They still did the good job to cover D.O.'s part... But, still... NO ONE CAN REPLACED D.O.'s voice... It's irreplaceable and Kyungsoo's voice was one of a kind...
All members do great covering ksoo part, but now I realize why EXO song standing out more, ksoo voice it's like soul in every EXO song. His voice color, adlib, run isn't easy to cover it, but I give credit for those successful do it. Even it's not perfect like him but they trying. I miss ksoo and EXO more

No one can do it like kyungsoo. i mean the others did a great job covering his lines but kyungsoo is kyungsoo.
I already expected that Baekhyun will cover most of kyungsoo's parts since they're the most similar voices in EXO. Plus Kyungsoo is the best in runs and only Baekhyun can actually keep up with those dang complicated runs. And also, Baekhyun also has a slight grit to his voice making him able to sound very similar to Kyungsoo who freely applies grits in his voice. Anyways I miss our pinguuuu : ( The members are doing well covering his parts (especially my main man, baek) but still no one can do it the way our D.O did it.
Edit: Also the thing that separates kyoongieee and dyo's voice is baek's natural vibrato and uhm the other difference I could tell is uhm baek is the type to do a Michael Jackson scream while do is the type to growl and roar in songs. This makes them a bit of a polar opposite despite their similarities haha

Male Rodriguez uhm runs are uh the fast moving melodic lines. Like you know, uhm, for example, a straight note of "la" could be variated in like "curly way of singing." Runs are actually much harder to define in layman's term, but I tried to explain it in the best way I could. But yeah, you can search it yourself if my elaboration confuses you. And if you do search it, you might cross over "riffs" as well which is a very similar thing with runs.

Runs - When a singer starts off at a very high note and drops quickly through the scale down to a very low note in the space of a second or two. Like that thing Christina Aguilera does all the time. It can also be done from a low note to a high note.
It's actually a form of an ad lib that a singer gives to a song to make it sound even more unique and is very difficult to pull off. Not every singer can do runs smoothly.

Now i understood why kyungsoo's vocals really stoods out in every exo songs. His soulful singing really brings out exo's songs to another level. Even tho the members covered his parts well, but there's something missing i guess. I can say that kyungsoo's voice is magical, his vocal runs and riffs also his growling adds spice to the song. Ofc Kyungsoo lines will forever be the best sung by Kyungsoo, his runs are the best; his members still did a good job they nailed it, i especially loved Jongin and Suho parts they really did great! Baek and Chen had the most work here, especially Baek since his voice is closest to Kyungsoo, thanks to all of them for their hard work Kyungsoo must be proud :)
We're all really conditioned to each member singing their own lines! If any of the vocal line were to cover another members line...No matter how good of a job they do...Its gonna stick out. Growl and Eve are Kyungsoo's songs! El Dorado and Lotto are Baekhyun's songs...You can't change that!🖤✌🏻

Idk, but when dyo sing, he has that feels like teasing to us, the softness and rasps in his voice make it that feels. Especially when he did improve like riffs and runs or with english words, like simple one (baby/girl)
Much as I applause his fellow members for covering his parts, only Kyungsoo brings ‘soul’ to those lines and especially to the vocal runs. Just my opinion 🤷🏽♀️

Good job to those guys who covered kyungsoo's lines, they definitely did amazing!!! But what I miss most about kyungsoo's especially during concerts are his unplanned adlibs/runs, voice improvisations, etc. If you watched concert videos or listened to the live concert albums -- he did a lot of changes to his lines. Like literally growling in growl & boomerang, there's also the Playboy version during exordium, his for life high note changes as well, what u do adlibs, etc. His very noisy during concerts. I think there was a compilation of his noise here in TH-cam.
omg i have the same thoughts as yours. I miss those improvisations that Kyungsoo does in concerts. Always love it when he does those impromptu improvisations.
During Exploration, I don't if it's just me or what but I can still hear Kyungsoo's voice in the backing track when they were singing live, and it made me tear up because I felt like Kyungsoo was there singing. 😭😭😭

Normally they give the parts to someone who'll not be singing his own part right before or after D.O.
So if Baek sings before or after D.O, they will give that part to either Suho or Chen.
